Husqvarna proudly presents T542i XP® and 542i XP®, the world's first cordless chainsaw with clutch. The new chainsaw is designed for tree care and features an innovative centrifugal clutch, providing kick-start energy and excellent cutting capacity. The battery-powered saw is low-noise and low-vibration, produces no CO2 emissions during operation and all without compromising efficiency. The new chainsaw comes in two versions, the T542i XP tophandle variant and the 542i XP with rear handle.
The new battery-powered chainsaw is a powerful and reliable machine, equipped with a clutch. Good for more power, a smoother workflow and a more pleasant working day.
The clutch provides smoother starts and stops, kick-start energy with every cut and improved efficiency in stop and start sequences.
In addition, the new chainsaw has more power, greater cutting capacity and an improved design with better sawdust disposal.
"We are excited to introduce the world's first battery-powered chainsaw with clutch. This new product is the result of our efforts in innovation and our commitment to providing tree care workers with the best tool for the job. The clutch, extra power and improved design allow arborists to work more efficiently. The option of a handle on the top or back offers additional flexibility and ease of use," said Martin Håård, Product Manager Battery Saws & Accessories Husqvarna.
The T542i XP/542i XP will be available for sale at authorized dealers, and in August 2023, both top and rear handle versions will be rolled out worldwide.
