Husqvarna's new electric rider: the riding mower of the future

Husqvarna takes another leap forward in electrification with a new battery-powered riding mower in the 200 series. The Husqvarna R 200iX offers a smart and versatile solution for lawn owners who want to focus on their lawn care without having to worry about noise, CO2 emissions or high maintenance. With fully automated features such as dynamic mowing, energy consumption is adjusted to conditions for optimal mowing results and run time. The operator can handle up to 4,000m² on a single charge and almost double that with an additional battery. The articulated steering makes the riding mower easy to maneuver. In addition, the many attachments offer numerous options, from targeted lawn care to transportation.

The Husqvarna R 200iX has been designed from scratch to meet the diverse needs of today's landowner. Not only in terms of efficiency and versatility, but also because of its battery drive.

"Husqvarna is leading the way and helping landowners switch from gasoline to battery by improving our range of lawn mowers. We didn't just take a gasoline mower and put an electric motor on it. We redesigned the entire lawn mower to be optimized for battery power. Then we added a number of smart features to automatically optimize cutting performance and run time while providing better lawn care," said Bart Van Hal, Marketing Manager Husqvarna Division Benelux.

Efficient, automated and user-friendly

The R 200iX is an efficient and user-friendly design, with a new digital control panel that guides the operator during the work. Dynamic mowing is an important asset: performance is continuously adapted to the grass and conditions. Not only is a considerable amount of energy saved, the lawn is also kept in optimal condition. Thanks to the articulated steering and the front-mounted mower deck, the R 200iX is very easy to maneuver. It can make sharp turns and mow close to trees, bushes and other areas that are normally difficult to reach and must be mowed by hand.

From ride-on mower to multi-purpose vehicle

A wide range of accessories makes the R 200iX a low-noise multi-purpose vehicle that you can use for different tasks at any time of day. And all without disturbing the neighbors. For lawn care, in addition to mowing, you can connect a number of accessories to take care of your lawn. The trailer makes it perfectly possible to transport firewood, leaves, garden tools or other bulky items. There is no direct CO² -emissions during operation, allowing it to be used even indoors to move conveniences. Thanks to all these accessories, the R 200iX is a smart investment. After all, users save money by not having to purchase additional vehicles for such tasks.

The R 200iX will go on sale from the first quarter of 2023 at the recommended price of €7185 (excluding mower deck and charger).
