Indeed, the company has a direct line to natural stone quarries in France, India and China.

E.L.S. Garden is a specialized wholesaler and retailer of garden construction materials, headed by father and daughter Ivo and Els Meynen. The range includes gravel, clinkers, tiles and garden fencing, but the company's flagship product is its wide range of natural stone.

The company's roots run deep. Father Ivo worked for years as a garden contractor, daughter Els is a landscaper and son-in-law Gert also has experience in landscaping.

Own search

In a search for quality natural stone products, Ivo Meynen went to quarries in France as early as the late 1970s. An activity with which he never stopped. What's more, the manager regularly went on to visit further afield. Today there are close partnerships with quarries in France, India and China. This leads to a wide range of natural stone, with very diverse textures and structures and full quality control. E.L.S. Garden brings the natural stone directly from the quarry to the end customer, without intermediaries.

Top quality from China

Good to know: the negative reputation often attributed to Chinese products does not apply to natural stone. Test results show that Chinese bluestone is in no way inferior to the Belgian variety, and E.L.S. Garden can submit the necessary DoP's for all Chinese natural stone in its range. Moreover, the company sees to it in China that only quality products make the crossing.

Partner in customization

By the way, if something is not in the standard range, it can always be made or ordered. This happens in the factories in the best conditions, and orders are always delivered to their destination completely finished. E.L.S. Garden proves to be an excellent partner in customization, even for the most demanding projects or unique products.

Practical Experience

In addition to its connections with the quarries, E.L.S. Garden plays another strong card: Ivo and Els Meynen have over twenty years of experience in landscaping. Father Ivo as an independent garden contractor, daughter Els as a garden architect.

So the needs of the garden contractor are no stranger to them, and where possible the company tries to fill gaps in the industry. Custom work that is regularly requested is given a place in the standard assortment. Another in-house innovation is the GravelLock, an ecological gravel mat that is both stable and draining and thus - in contrast to traditional cloths - does not silt up.

Only pure material

E.L.S. Garden, of course, also knows the garden contractor's biggest frustrations. The company therefore makes every effort to eliminate damage and waste with the materials delivered. Clinkers are only available on pallets, and gravel can be delivered to the site in big bags up to one week in advance. Crucially, you will not find any stone powder in those big bags, but only pure material: from a caliber of 12 millimeters, everything is completely de-graded, so you no longer have to worry about loss or waste on site.
