PCS launches new website at study day on digitization and business resilience

The global outbreak of Covid-19 is having a huge impact on our society. In March, trade, sales and exports completely collapsed in an incredibly short period of time, forcing the discarding of much fine product. At the same time, in the crisis lay new opportunities. Many people learned the importance of a beautiful green living environment, and again bought more plants for home and garden. Our society was experiencing far-reaching and accelerated digitalization, which necessitated a new way of running a business. Many ornamental growers quickly responded to this during the crisis. At the same time, we will have to be able to switch quickly between sales areas or channels through good logistics, depending on the further course of the crisis. Also in the future, traceability will remain essential and certification of quality and sustainability will indeed be expected. The PCS is working with the sector on these processes and showed the possibilities at the September 17, 2020 study day.

In addition, the PCS wants to make all its knowledge and expertise digitally available to Flemish ornamental growers and landscapers. With our new website, we want to support Flemish ornamental plant growers and landscapers even better in all their challenges.
