Waste does not exist. In today's pursuit of a sustainable and circular society, the credo is cited ad nauseam, but nowhere is it more important than in green waste management. With two new wood shredders and an inspiring website, Dutch company De Wild enables green professionals to make the most of their green waste.

The de Wild family has been dedicated to the distribution of tools and machines for four generations. What was still a national Dutch company shortly after World War II crossed the Belgian border with the establishment of subsidiary Belgarde as early as the late 1970s and today is a global player, with a distribution network stretching from Latin America to the Far East.
In addition to being a distributor, the family business has also cast itself as a manufacturer since 1995. More specifically, a wide range of wood chippers are developed, renewed and tested at the R&D department in the Dutch town of Roosendaal. Not a surprising product choice, perhaps, when you know that the entrepreneurial history of the de Wild family goes back to a nineteenth-century timber and carpentry company in Kleve, Germany, but above all a well-considered decision to specialize and thus guarantee quality. Even the construction of our own modern production facility in China in 2009, where Dutch engineers maintain control of the process, is part of the pursuit of the very best product.
De Wild's range of wood chippers, marketed under the GTM Professional brand name, now includes twelve models, suitable for branch diameters of up to 5, 8, 10 or 12 centimeters. In addition, the manufacturer recently launched two more
new compo models.
The GTS900C and GTS1300C are new versions of the existing GTS900 and GTS1300 wood chippers, suitable for branch diameters of up to 8 and 10 centimeters, respectively. Like the basic models on which they are based, the new machines are characterized by a highly efficient rotor shredding system and an extra-wide feeder for high working speed. Thanks to their compact size, perfect balance and mounting on two wheels, they are easily guided to the right location by one person and even narrow passages need not be an obstacle.
The distinguishing feature of the C or combo models, in addition, is the additional output at the bottom of the machine. This turns the youngest members of the GTM Professional family into multifunctional machines, suitable for both shredding branches and processing large quantities of soft organic material. Green waste therefore no longer needs to be disposed of, but can be shredded on site for an accelerated composting process. Switching between the two output options is also surprisingly easy.
By the way, shredded organic material is not only the perfect input material for the compost pile, nor can wood chips be used solely as ground cover for borders and flower beds. The possibilities for the local and valuable reuse of shredded green waste are even more extensive. For example, wood chips can be perfectly mixed under the soil as a soil improver. The right size chips provide better air and water management as well as healthier soil life.
On the new website gtmchippers.be, De Wild informs about the above and other uses of wood chips. With this dissemination of knowledge, combined with the production of high-quality shredders, the company aims to encourage the recovery of what was previously considered waste.
