Flexible construction with concrete blocks

Raw materials and materials such as soil, fertilizers, compost, bark and road salts are used in large quantities and, consequently, must also be extensively stocked. With Modulobloc large-format precast concrete blocks, CBS beton from Wielsbeke offers a quick and versatile solution for storage and warehouse space, as well as partition walls, fire and soundproof walls, and so on.

Adaptable to various needs

The Modulobloc range can be used for many purposes, with the most common application being the storage of products in bulk. In all possible branches of industry - whether it is products for agriculture, raw materials and semi-finished products in production, or any kind of materials in recycling - Modulobloc ensures that products remain neatly and safely separated from each other. 

The system allows targeted solutions to be worked out, taking into account, among other things, the density and internal friction angle of the materials to be stored. CBS concrete also has the right concrete quality for more aggressive products such as road salt. So a sustainable solution is worked out in all circumstances.

Flexibility in construction

The Modulobloc elements are not only universally applicable, they are also modular and can be assembled without mortar joints and reused for any subsequent changes in layout. All concrete blocks fit together and have studs and recesses - a tongue-and-groove system - for optimal anchoring. Depending on the strength of the structure, Modulobloc elements are always placed in bond.

There are also solutions if you are thinking of roofing your project. In fact, different types of roofs can be perfectly attached to the Modulobloc concrete blocks. 

Formats and qualities

Modulobloc from CBS concrete is available in different sizes and concrete grades depending on application, products to be stored, load and desired storage height. The standard grade is based on recycled raw materials and is fully in line with CBS' sustainability policy; the highest grade complies with environmental class XA3, XF4 and is equivalent to class EA3, EE4 according to the Belgian standard.

In terms of size, there is a choice between 60-centimeter or 80-centimeter high blocks. The smallest size offers sufficient stability when storing light products or limited storage heights. For the storage of heavy products or higher storage heights, the 80-centimeter blocks offer additional stability. They also provide the possibility of attaching dust screens or roofs, even for large spans. Finally, various anchoring systems are available, including the Preco system. In specific cases, they can be perfectly integrated.
