Hasselt-based flower and plant store Thomas is an established name in the industry and by extension in the province. Founded 67 years ago, the company currently has 35 employees. In their store with downright talked-about and futuristic architecture, they offer a  extensive collection of plants, flowers, floral arrangements and bouquets. Precisely with that quality in mind, each plant at Laurica-plants was raised from a cutting. Although such plants grow more slowly, they are much more uniform in terms of leaf size, shape and aroma. In addition, they develop a more compact root system, which makes them thrive better in pot or tub and also makes them better suited for tight topiary.

The laurel plants offered by Thomas were cared for and raised at Laurica for over 7 years. During the winter period they received their topiary and in the summer they were carefully trimmed. With absolute uniformity as a result. Even 100-year-old plants are available from Thomas on request. Father and founder François Thomas and his son Eduard are unanimous in their praise for the approach, service and quality level of the baytrees from Jabbeke in West Flanders.

Flower and plant store Thomas has everything to offer visitors for an inspiring day out. Thus, the outdoor space of 1,000 m² always something to see or experience. The indoor catering establishment Café au Lait provides a snack or drink among the greenery. Their well-developed webshop includes a wide selection of flowers, plants, occasional bouquets, vases, pots. They themselves deliver in greater Hasselt.
