Steenbakkerij Vande Moortel is a manufacturer of clay clinkers in unique colors and formats. Founded in 1864 in the Scheldt Valley in Oudenaarde, the company grew into the reference in the clay clinker market. The preservation of the family character and the accessibility at all levels ensure an extremely customer-oriented organization.

H2O Natural Clay Paving allows stormwater to infiltrate on site. The permeable street layer and foundation drain the water slowly into the subsoil. This relieves the sewers and maintains the groundwater level. The complete pavement construction results in a minimum water permeability capacity of 5.4 x 10-5 meters per second.

All Vande Moortel clay clinkers lend themselves to permeable paving thanks to their specific natural character and quality characteristics. Indeed, in combination with the correct joint filling, our clay pavers offer sufficient space for rainwater to infiltrate into the subsoil through the traditional, natural joints between the clay pavers.

The H2O Natural Clay Paving concept consists of 100% natural materials with a very high lifespan that are almost completely reusable. For the production of our clay pavers, we make maximum use of local and renewable raw materials (river clay from the Scheldt Basin) and preserve, as it were, the soil beneath our feet.
