GrootGroenPlus 2022 again showing promise

The international trade fair for the green industry

Another - live and physical! - edition of trade fair GrootGroenPlus is coming up. This one is scheduled for October 5-7, 2022. The venue is still Zundert (NL), right on the border with Belgium. During this trade fair, about 240 participants will again welcome thousands of visitors from all over the world. Just like in 2021, it will be a physical trade fair combined with a digital program and a hybrid event; so this can only be a resounding success.

The difference with other fairs in the green sector is the "intent" of this fair. Here the emphasis is very much on the green aspect. GrootGroenPlus once originated as the Low Countries' most important trade fair for tree growers, and has always kept its roots firmly in the ground. So here, much less machinery and related items, but rather everything from the smallest plug to sturdy trees are featured here. 

32nd edition

Didier Hermans, board member of GrootGroenPlus: "Growers, traders and numerous suppliers from the Netherlands and Belgium, among others, are given the opportunity here to inform visitors and participants about the latest developments in the field. We are now at our 32nd edition. So we can now say that GrootGroenPlus has become an absolute must for governments, institutions, housing corporations, project developers, landscapers, gardeners, garden designers and garden centers."

Theme GrootGroenPlus 2022: 'Grounded'

The theme for this edition of the trade show is "Grounded. This theme ties in with the sector and the trade fair in many ways. For example, more and more attention is being paid to the important advantages the sector has to offer in the field of greening, climate issues and, of course, the accompanying financial aspect. That is why it is essential that the tree nursery sector is grounded and works from a solid foundation, its own strength. This starts, of course, with the soil. A living, rich, healthy soil is the basis of our crops. Of course, good soil and healthy soil are also important for nursery products. A plant can only do well if the quality of the soil is good. And finally, many growers are also well grounded because they have been growing in one location for generations. They know exactly how to get the most out of what they have and combine traditional techniques in it with the latest developments. This ensures better quality and makes them inspiring.

The basis for long-term relationships

Didier Hermans: "We are happy with our 'live' version of the fair in hybrid form. Because although the digital version in 2020 was also a great success, nothing can match people meeting each other at a convivial fair like GrootGroenPlus. It promises to be a great success, by the way, as there is once again a waiting list for registrations. It is therefore the ideal breeding ground for new and existing (long-term) relationships. What would otherwise take you several months to go through a number of new suppliers, for example, can be done here in three days. One on one."
