From September 27 to 29, Flanders Expo in Ghent will be transformed into a true paradise for the green professional. Thanks to an extensive series of security measures in the framework of Covid-19, Green will once again become the trade fair for garden contractors, garden and landscape architects, government, study agencies and retailers.
The green sector has not been idle during the period of crisis: gardens and parks have been central to the well-being of the general public. Green space is invaluable in these times. On September 27, 28 and 29, the time has finally come and the sector will once again come together at Green at Flanders Expo in Ghent. More than 150 companies will show their expertise, quality products, services and innovations at Green in the safest conditions. From living greenery, garden wood, machinery, urban furniture and playground equipment, paving and concrete to fertilizers, protective products, ponds, pools, fountains and professional garden tools.
To encourage innovation and experience, visitors can discover a Demo Park, the Green Idea and the 1.2.Tree Award at Green. In the Demo Park exhibitors show their latest soil and woodworking machines and other garden tools in action. Also, the innovation trail Green Idea will be expanded during Green 2020: 30 exhibitors will highlight their latest product or service.
For the third time during Green, the 1.2.Tree Award presented. With this award, Green honors the best tree project and thus highlights the symbiosis between garden contractors, architects and nurserymen. Successful and sustainably developed garden and park projects can only come about through a professional approach, both in the concept phase by the garden architect and in the realization and execution by the garden contractor, but also through the professional knowledge of the tree nursery that is the supplier of unique trees. Green wants to strengthen this cooperation even more with the presentation of the 1.2.Tree Award. More information about registering and the contest rules can be found at green-expo.be.
After weeks of waiting, the stock market industry received the National Security Council's fiat on July 23 to fairs restart from Sept. 1 subject to strict adherence to the fair protocol and mandatory wearing of a mouth mask, and this as epidemiological conditions permit. The government recognizes that a fair, like a shopping mall and a large commercial store, is first and foremost a "pop-up" marketplace where trade is conducted.
Because the health and safety of exhibitors, visitors and everyone involved in a trade show is of the utmost importance, Easyfairs, the organizer of Green, imposes strict decontamination and hygiene standards and procedures on itself. To underline the importance of this, Easyfairs has entered into a partnership with the company SGS, which is internationally renowned for safety and its control.
In this way, the organization is ensuring that Green is the safest place to meet will be for the entire green industry. Pre-registration online and wearing a mouth mask is therefore mandatory. Green's traditional nocturne will unfortunately not take place this edition and the opening hours were slightly modified.
