Science and technology in service of perfect turf

Stogger® Turf Care is committed to technological advancement, continuous innovation, in-house design and manufacturing. Over the years, they have developed a diverse range of products specifically for the stadium turf industry. The dedication to maximum efficiency is reflected in every aspect of their products, from the design stage through production and implementation.

Florian Mans, international sales manager: "We are proud of our commitment to pushing the boundaries in supplemental lighting technology. By constantly refining our products and incorporating the latest innovations, we ensure that our solutions remain at the forefront of the industry. This is evident in the Dynamic Light Spectrum we offer; this technology can be custom delivered to meet the unique needs of each stadium field. This results in excellent grass growth and better resistance to grass diseases. We are confident that our technologically advanced solutions can add significant value to the existing market. Our innovative approach not only improves grass health and growth, but also addresses common problems such as turf diseases more effectively than traditional methods."

"In short, we are more than just a supplier of grow light solutions, we are pioneers in our field and dedicated to providing the highest quality products that move the industry forward. Our next steps include bringing our innovative solutions to a wider audience, enhancing our reputation as innovators in stadium grow light technology. This expansion is not just about increasing our market share, but about setting a new standard in this industry. Helping clubs and stadiums achieve optimal turf conditions with greater efficiency and sustainability is 'key.'"

Personalized light recipes

The major technological advantage is that Stogger® Turf Care is able to offer the supplemental lighting systems with a Dynamic Light Spectrum (DLS). This is a multichannel light-control system that allows them to control multiple light spectra. With this technology, customized light recipes can be created. Grass detects when the sun rises and perceives the color of light received. Extensive research has been done on how grass plants "see" changes in the light spectrum and use these signals to adapt to their dynamic environment. The spectral composition of sunlight is an important signal for grass plants that profoundly affects plant morphology, physiology and development, affecting processes ranging from photosynthesis to the production of defense metabolites.

Helping clubs and stadiums achieve optimal turf conditions with greater efficiency and durability is "key.

"Using a fixed LED light spectrum does not take into account the natural variations in the spectral composition of light that grass plants normally receive," said Florian Mans. "By using a Dynamic Light Spectrum LED strategy, it is possible to mimic daily changing light intensities and spectra that simulate more realistic, natural conditions. This results in healthier plants that are stronger and more resistant to disease. That's why we recommend using a Dynamic Light Spectrum (DLS) LED system."

15% lighter than the competition

In addition to performance in terms of efficiency and hardware quality, groundsmen and grounds managers find it crucial that equipment is easy to handle and comfortable to use. Says Florian Mans, "Through smart material choices, both the Booster 60 (m2) and our Booster 460 (m2) are the lightest grow lights on the market. They are at least 15% lighter than similar setups from our competitors and illuminate larger areas in square meters."

Growth in the stadium growth lighting market

It is challenging to enter an existing market. However, with innovative products, extensive testing and many hours of dedication, Stogger® Turf Care has already gained ground in the stadium growth lighting market. They have a partnership with Heiler GmbH in Germany, so their products are well represented at several Bundesliga clubs. They have also already delivered a large project to Jakarta International Stadium in Indonesia, and a nice project at KRC Genk is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024, namely the delivery of four large Booster 460 (m2) and one Booster 60 (m2) DLS LED lighting fixtures with the Dynamic Light Spectrum.

"We are very excited about what is to come. We are also currently working intensively on the construction site where our new headquarters will be located. We are moving to a state-of-the-art building, where we will have the best facilities to produce all our Booster supplemental lighting systems for upcoming projects and future customers. Our team has grown to nearly 25 employees in the past two years, and thanks to our increasing brand awareness, we are receiving more and more inquiries from potential customers. This confirms that we have made the right choices and investments in the past, ensuring maximum growth for the future of Stogger® Turf Care," concludes Florian Mans.
