On December 10, 1946, Jozef Severin Ahlman (1924-2006) founded ACO on the grounds of the Carlshütte in Rendsburg, Germany. Of course, we don't let that pass us by lightly. Thus, ACO will blow out 75 candles - albeit with fewer international bells and whistles.
In the 1960s, the youngest son of husband and wife Julius and Käte Ahlmann began with structural elements, windows made of concrete and the first drainage ditches.
10 years later, 1970s ACO crossed national borders for the first time with the now well-known ACO drains. In the early 1980s, Severin Ahlmann gradually handed over responsibility to his nephew Hans-Julius Ahlmann, who has since successfully shaped growth, diversification and internationalization.
The ACO family business is currently growing into the next generation: the present and future of the ACO Group are currently represented by Hans-Julius Ahlmann and his son Iver, who officially joined the management board of ACO Ahlmann SE & Co. in 2012. KG (formerly ACO Severin Ahlmann GmbH & Co. KG) as managing partner. Iver Ahlmann takes entrepreneurial responsibility and ensures ACO's identity as a family business in the future.
