Control Husqvarna robotic mowers with IFTTT via the Automower® Connect app

Husqvarna announces that Husqvarna Automower® owners can now control their robotic mower via the Automower® Connect app, which is compatible with the integration platform IFTTT (short for "If This Then That"). This allows homeowners with a Husqvarna Automower®-robot mower and the Automower® Connect app adjust the mowing process according to weather forecasts and scheduled activities in the calendar.

Husqvarna, world leader in robotic mowers, is taking another step forward in lawn mowing. From now on, Husqvarna Automower® users will be able to link their robotic mower with other smart products and services with IFTTT functions in the Automower® Connect mobile app. For example, it will be possible to link with a weather app that, when activated, will allow the Husqvarna robotic mower to mow only when the weather forecast is ideal.

In addition, the user can activate the link to the calendar, which keeps the robotic mower in if a certain keyword appears in the customer's calendar. Examples of keywords are "Watering" or "Sunday soccer game."

How does it work?

Smart IFTTT functionality is now available in the Automower® Connect app. IFTTT connections are available from the "Smart Home" tab in Automower® Connect. Once you have pressed the 'connect' button, the link to Automower® is established. At this time, the smart links in Automower Connect are only available to iOS users. These links work with both Husqvarna Automower® X-line models and models equipped with an Automower® Connect kit.
