This applies not only to its own fleet of machines, but is also increasingly noted in tender procedures. Thanks to recent investments in a brand new electric hot water machine, Weed Free Service is also profiling itself as a partner for weed control in these circumstances.

The Dutch company Weed Free Service specializes in the environmentally friendly control of weeds and, in particular, invasive exotics such as hogweed and Japanese knotweed. To do so, the company, which also operates in our country, uses hot water. After all, by spraying the weeds with boiling water in a targeted manner, the plant cell is broken down efficiently, without the need for chemical pesticides.
For a company that prioritizes environmentally friendly weed control, the move to electric solutions is almost natural. "As far as sustainability is concerned, we want to remain at the forefront," co-manager Joël de Haan puts the ambitions sharply. Consequently, Weed Free Service recently added a Waterkracht Weedmaster eM to its arsenal, an electric two-in-one machine for weed control and cleaning street furniture, with an operating pressure of up to 50 bar and a water yield of 8 liters per minute at a constant temperature of 99°C.
But it doesn't stop there. In fact, the Dutch company mounted its new machine on an equally electric Goupil G4 utility vehicle. Thus, no fossil fuel is used for weed control at all anymore.
The new machine has been in operation for some time and will be able to prove its added value especially in an urban context. This is because the compact hot water system is extremely suitable for the treatment of narrow passages, courtyards and narrow cycle paths, and it operates silently and emission-free thanks to its electric drive.
