STIHL is currently working on the modernization and expansion of its headquarters in Waiblingen in Germany. The flagship project of the future complex is STIHL Brand World. STIHL is a brand that excites people all over the world. At the company's headquarters in Waiblingen, the new STIHL Brand World is being built to raise the brand's profile even higher, apart from the use of STIHL machines, thus highlighting it in a unique way. The museum presents different themes to visitors, spread over three floors with a exhibition space of 1,500 square meters and a total area of 5,000 square meters. The focus is not only on the company and its products, but also on a theme that has been synonymous with the brand since STIHL was founded: a fascination with the natuur, especially for forests and woods. Given the great importance of this topic, the STIHL Brand World museum devotes an entire floor to it.
The "Vision" and "Innovation" floors take visitors on an amusing journey through the company's nearly 100-year history: from the beginnings with the historic two-man saws, through today's STIHL technology - leading the way in many areas - to a look at the technology of the future and its expected applications. Another area in the new STIHL Brand World is dedicated to STIHL TIMBERSPORTS and immerses visitors in the competitive atmosphere of the lumberjack sport. A café and a shop with STIHL fan merchandise complete the experience. "In all of these areas of our new Brand World, our customers, our fans and interested parties can experience the STIHL brand in a way that is as informative as it is entertaining," said Mr. K. K., president of STIHL. "I am convinced that this in turn will strengthen people's loyalty to the STIHL brand," said Norbert Pick, member of the STIHL Executive Board and responsible for marketing and sales.
The third floor of the STIHL Brand World, "Emotion," is a broad knowledge platform about forests and woods, especially in the light of sustainability. After all, the term "sustainability" was introduced more than three hundred years ago to denote future-oriented forest use. The knowledge platform offers visitors extensive information on topics such as forest ecosystems, old-growth forests or sustainable forestry. "The exhibition, which contains both national and international elements, should become an important source of information on the topic of forests and forest management and allow visitors to form their own opinions on these topics - whether they are schoolchildren or forestry professionals," says Prof. Dr. Jürgen Bauhus, head of the chair of forestry at the University of Freiburg and curator of this floor of the STIHL Brand World.
The new STIHL Brand World is part of the ongoing modernization and extensive expansion of STIHL's parent company in Waiblingen. It is the flagship project of the complex, which fits harmoniously into the surrounding natural environment, right on the banks of the Rems River. It is scheduled to open in 2023.
