Looking ahead to the fifteenth National Turf Day

"Grass is a puzzle. Every piece has to fit"

As if the effects of climate change and increasingly stringent regulations on plant protection products were not enough of a challenge, last year also saw enormous economic pressure placed on the shoulders of green professionals. In these difficult conditions, how do you still deliver a beautiful green turf every time? You will find out at the fifteenth National Turf Day.

On Thursday, September 14, organizers Advanta (Limagrain), Compo Expert, ENVU, ICL and TerraCottem are again inviting hundreds of landscapers, green services, greenkeepers and garden professionals to the National Grass Day 'on tour'. This time they will gather in Meerhout, Antwerp, on the grounds of grass sod grower Bart van Bael.

Complex

"A beautiful turf, that's a complex puzzle," says Erik Truyers of Advanta. "Even more so in today's conditions. Green professionals are therefore left with a lot of questions. Should we cultivate the soil differently? Is a soil analysis necessary? What is the potential of new grasses and grass seed mixtures? How can we still get great results with less maintenance? These are the issues that will be discussed in detail at the National Grass Day and for which each exhibitor will provide a piece of the puzzle."

Numerous machines will again be demonstrated on the grounds of grass sod grower Bart van Bael.

Practice Platform

As in previous years, National Turf Day emphasizes practical knowledge and professional meeting.

"At this field day, we bring the industry together and catch up. All experts are on site, from grass specialists and professional associations to machinery manufacturers and suppliers of fertilizers, crop protection products and soil conditioners. Numerous machines will be demonstrated live on the grounds and additionally, every visitor can sign up for an organized tour with additional information on the most important novelties. And of course, National Turf Day is also the place for fine conversations with colleagues, in the familiar convivial atmosphere."

Practical
National Lawn Day will take place on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Voortbossen 86/1, 2450 Meerhout. The event is exclusive and free to professionals and landscapers. Pre-registration is required via www.nationalegrasdag.be
