In-house development and production

At Belgarde, quality and safety are paramount. An in-house R&D department works hard to develop and innovate its own wood chippers. Every machine in the extensive line - from the 600 to the 1800 series - meets the strict European NEN safety standard and offers a unique combination of robustness, efficiency and optimum ease of use. In addition, each chipper is very easy to maintain. Production takes place in the factory in China, which is fully owned by the family company and controlled by Dutch management. This keeps the quality well guaranteed.

The 1800 series: solid and agile

In April 2021, professional users could already experience the 1800WD, a powerful, self-propelled chipper on a battery-powered chassis. A range of approximately 6 kilometers on flat pavement and a width of only 72 cm ensure optimum maneuverability.

This was followed by the launch of the 1800R in April 2022. This solid tracked machine is specially designed for difficult and hilly terrain. With twin Honda engines (21 and 5.5 hp), a 270° rotating output and the ability to handle slopes up to 20°, this wood chipper meets all the needs of the professional user.

The 1800P as the ultimate powerhouse

Today, GTM Professional shifts up another gear, with the new tractor-mounted 1800P. The great advantage of a PTO-powered wood chipper is that you can move this machine easily and quickly, and it also does not require separate engine maintenance. This saves you time and money. The 1800P is driven via the PTO of all brands of tractors with Cat. 1 connection.

Impressive performance

This powerhouse among shredders can produce impressive figures. Branches up to 14 cm in diameter are eagerly worked in, through a set of two double-sharpened blades with a maximum rotation speed of 2,500 rpm. The wood chips are easily collected thanks to the high output that can be rotated up to 270°. And with its compact dimensions, this powerful drum shredder is still easy to transport.

Prioritizing safety

When it comes to safety, the specialists at GTM Professional make no compromise. Like all other shredders of the brand, the 1800P was also tested to the highest standards, using the strict European Forestry Standard as a guide. On this machine, the safety mechanism works independently of the tractor. The certification is done by NOBO.

It is not only in development and production that strict safety regulations apply. Even when performing jobs, the user is always excellently protected. For example, pressing the emergency stop bracket mechanically interrupts the drive of the rotor. No electrical connection to the tractor is required for this; the safety mechanism works completely independently. In addition, a rotor-locking function provides additional safety during maintenance work.
