The introduction of new models is an opportunity to briefly review the entire range, as well as to mention an interesting new product, the FSI D60 stump grinder.  

The core business of the Danish company FSI Power-tech, founded in 2002, is the development and manufacture of stump tillers. And these years of exclusive specialization have enabled the company to acquire a high level of know-how and expertise to meet the mechanical challenges associated with stump milling. The range is divided into three categories of stump tillers: self-propelled stump tillers from 11 to 74 hp on wheels or tracks (7 models); stump tillers with PTO drive for tractors from 30 hp (3 models); and stump tillers with hydraulic drive for mini-loaders or excavators from 2.5 to 20 tons (six models).

Common features include FSI power-cut, a milling disc specifically designed to optimize operation and longevity in relation to engine performance; FSI power-sweep, a device that optimizes milling capacity by using two powerful cylinders for milling arm swing movement combined with an automatic control system that regulates swing speed in accordance with engine load; FSI power-clutch, a robust clutch with integrated brake that automatically engages when disengaging; and FSI power-drive, an intelligent two-speed hydraulic system (fast in 2WD and slow in 4WD) for working on roads and off-road. And with the FSI tine system, the round tine can be rotated three times for optimal use of the blade and the tines are mounted in staggered positions on the milling disc.

The FSI D60 and FSI D60 Track are the new highlights

The FSI D60 is a narrow stump grinder powered by a powerful 60-horsepower diesel engine. This newcomer overcomes all obstacles. It is only 80 centimeters wide. Equipped with FSI power-drive, FSI power-sweep and FSI power-cut, it adds a V-belt drive, a hydraulically actuated mechanical clutch, LED work lights, flexible protection, lockable tank access and hydraulic fill, as well as a full Scanreco radio control with charger, cable and an auxiliary battery. The milling disc has a diameter of 570 millimeters. Estimated milling time for the FSI D60 is 4 minutes for a 40-centimeter stump, 7 minutes for a 65-centimeter stump and 18 minutes for a 105-centimeter stump (milling a 15-centimeter high stump that continues 15 centimeters into the ground.

The FSI D60 Track is the tracked version, with hydraulic extension, and a width of 115 cm, 2 working speeds (high/low). Both versions can be equipped with a dozer blade with extensions.
