Yanmar SV08 very attractive to green sector.

The ViO12-2A, Vio17 and ViO23-6 are especially popular, but if it really has to be compact and powerful, you simply cannot beat the SV08-1C.

A landscaper who often works in private backyards will definitely appreciate the ultra-compact dimensions of this single-tonner. In transport position, the machine is only 68 centimeters wide, making it one of the narrowest mini excavators on the market. This is ideal for passing through a narrow gate or tight alley. The undercarriage also easily extends to a width of 84 centimeters, providing the SV08 with enough stability to handle even serious jobs. With the safety bar folded down, the Yanmar is 155 centimeters high, which comes in handy during transport on a trailer or to reach crawl-through locations.

Not to be trifled with

Despite its small size, the SV08 is no slouch when it comes to performance. The attention paid to the quality of the powertrain guarantees excellent performance, with a combination of digging power and work cycles ensuring optimum productivity. Under the hood is a 507 cc Perkins twin-cylinder, which delivers 7.5 kW (10.2 hp). The economical and quiet Stage V diesel engine drives a double piston pump, with a total output of 19.5 l/min and up to 185 bar of working pressure. The maximum breakout force is 5.9 kN. Thanks to the offset function, the digging arm can swing up to 45° to the left or 85° to the right.

The 1,035 kilogram mini-excavator stands on 180-millimeter-wide tracks and achieves a travel speed of 1.8 km/h. The ground pressure is 0.28 kg/cm². That the small powerhouse can hold its own in earthwork is evident from the traction force of 10 kN and a maximum inclination angle of 30°. Equipped with the standard 670-millimeter dipperstick, the SV08 has a digging reach of 2,730 millimeters at ground level and achieves a digging depth of up to 1,570 millimeters. The maximum discharge height is 1,940 millimeters. All this makes the Yanmar a practical companion, convincing in terms of power, ease of operation and fuel efficiency.

Particularly versatile asset

The SV08 is specially designed for tight locations and therefore perfectly suited for green professionals such as gardeners and landscapers, as well as municipal services, paving contractors and contractors. In addition to landscaping, the compact Yanmar is also great for smaller demolition or renovation jobs. A double-acting auxiliary circuit allows the machine to be equipped not only with an excavator bucket, ripper tine or root harvester, but also with hydraulic attachments that do not require too much oil flow, such as a sorting bucket, auger, demolition hammer or tipping bucket for soil and ditch work.

The hydraulic pumps automatically adjust the flow rate to the load, resulting in smoother operation and greater operator comfort. Unlike larger Yanmar models, the single-tonner is not equipped with joysticks. That said, the simple design with levers allows for intuitive operation. You can tell from everything that this is absolutely a Japanese quality product. Durability has been prioritized throughout the mini excavator's design. This is reflected in details such as flexible hoses that are neatly centralized to prevent entrapment, steel sheaths over the hydraulic hoses to the swing motors to prevent twisting, and a wide counterweight that protects both the undercarriage and upper carriage at the rear.

Easy to maintain

With the boom fully retracted and swiveled, the front turning radius is only 985 millimeters, while the rear swing radius is 725 millimeters. The manufacturer's commitment to safety is evidenced by the standard presence of a folding ROPS guard bar, a safety lever to lock the four main functions when entering or exiting the machine, and a safety bar for the main control console. To facilitate daily inspection and maintenance, the SV08 has a large tilting engine cover that provides direct access to key components. All components are obviously designed to provide optimum performance, reliability and durability, even in demanding applications.
