Yamabiko Europe, technology leader in robotic mowers for large lawns, launches WiseNav, a complete system that allows its Belrobotics GPS-RTK robotic mowers to mow in strips, with or without a perimeter cable, with up to three times more efficiency and with the ability to adjust working areas very flexibly. This new software update is a real breakthrough for lawn care professionals.
The introduction of RTK GPS technology has already enabled Belrobotics robotic mowers to mow strips with impressive cutting capacity and incredible accuracy of 3 to 5 cm. Now the WiseNav software update enhances this performance by eliminating the need for a perimeter cable. Tests with more than 600 robotic mowers and a wide range of terrain types have shown that cutting capacity is unaffected (up to 75,000 square meters for the Bigmow GPS RTK model) and remains perfect.
Installation of the robotic mower in a new location is facilitated by the fact that there is no perimeter cable under the lawn surface. An additional advantage is that the potential customer can test the robotic mower in a short period of time, reducing the cost of a test run and eliminating the need to excavate the ground to lay the cable.
Belrobotics' WiseNAV (Wireless Satellite Exact Navigation) system is complete: a robotic mower equipped with GPS-RTK technology; an RTK base that transmits position corrections; a charging station; virtual demarcation or buried perimeter cable if needed; and a web portal to easily control and monitor the robotic mower.
In addition to permanent access to a range of data and settings, the user can now define, copy or delete GPS zones to be mowed and "no-go" zones. Only the safety zone must be defined by the technician during initial installation. Once the working area is defined, the robotic mower even calculates its route taking into account the no-go zones. The plot is then mowed taking into account the restrictions, the set cutting height, and so on. Thanks to the application, you can confidently monitor the robotic mower's progress. Thanks to this personalized demarcation of mowing and exclusion zones, you can of course adapt mowing to changes in the terrain, including possible flooded areas. It then suffices to exclude these specific zones and continue working. This provides great flexibility in adjusting working areas.
This update is free for all owners of a robotic mower with RTK station. However, if you have an older model, such as the Connected Line robotic mower that mows randomly, this upgrade does involve an additional cost. But that additional cost is also accompanied by significant benefits, such as three times the mowing capacity for RTK GPS models, and customized management of mowing and exclusion zones via the app.
