Everyone in the industry knows Rollmops and Knikmops. They are made as light, powerful and sturdy machines to ease heavy labor. Not only in the green sector, but in the most diverse industries. With user-friendliness at the forefront. The machines are qualitative and robust, but also light and maneuverable.
The company behind these two powerhouses? Belgium's Gebroeders Geens. The family business has been developing and manufacturing machines and attachments for more than thirty years. And it does so in its workshop in Hoogstraten. With its finger firmly on the production wrist. With this, Gebroeders Geens offers the best to farmers, road workers, landscapers, construction companies, tree care workers, municipal workers and many others. With the multifunctional and compact work force of the Belgian Knikmops and Rollmops, every operator is relieved of much manual labor on difficult sites and in demanding situations.
Knikmops is the multipurpose articulated loader, suitable for almost any market. Seemingly simple, but with a high break-up force and strong lifting capacity against its own weight, it makes the machine suitable for many purposes. The Knikmops is light and compact, so you can conveniently carry it around like a Swiss army knife and use it for a variety of tasks.
But developments do not stand still at Gebroeders Geens either. And because the family business likes to focus on a sustainable working environment, all Knikmops over 19 kwh and 25 hp received a particulate filter to reduce diesel emissions. Half of the range also received a completely new engine (Stage V). Then last year the first electric version came peeping in the window.
Marleen Geens, communications & marketing: "The Knikmops KM 140 E has the familiar Knikmops power, but this time without emissions. We were mainly looking for an economical electric Knikmops. This made it possible to work with a smaller battery. This has several advantages: lower weight, shorter charging time and - not unimportantly - lower cost. We developed two options, the Standard and the Endurance. The Knikmops KM 140 E Standard has a 20 kWh battery; this allows for an average of 5 hours of solid work. Charging can be done from 0 to 80% in 1 hour and three quarters of an hour with the quick charger. Would you rather be able to work longer? Then the Knikmops KM 140 E Endurance is the solution. The 30 kWh battery allows the Knikmop driver to work for about 8 hours. Charging can be done in 2 hours and with the quick charger you clock in at 30 minutes."
"By the way: the third and largest version of the 100% electric Knikmops is under construction. Expected release date: first half of 2023!"
Rollmops has been a fixture with pavers from Belgium to Poland for more than 30 years. The small maneuverable transport machine can carry supplies right to where they are needed. Over unsteady terrain or newly laid pavers, its lightness combined with strength ensures that this is no problem for the nimble Rollmops.
No electric version of this robust street car is available yet, but the Belgian family-owned company is working on that. Here, too, they hope the first models will roll off the assembly line in 2023.
