Vertical or horizontal?

Several factors come into play when choosing the right exterior blinds. Where should the blinds be placed: vertically against a glass wall, above a skylight or glass roof? Aesthetics are also an important consideration, as is the desired degree of

A vertical cloth awning against a window or a large glass facade is the ideal solution to keep out excess heat. Holstra works exclusively with Renson's Fixscreen systems. Their special cloths filter the incoming light, while maintaining the view to the outside. Vertical cloth awnings can be fully automated and easily withstand wind speeds of 130 kilometers per hour, which is equivalent to a 12 Beaufort hurricane.

A horizontal fabric awning is used to control sunlight on sloped glazing such as skylights, skylights or verandas. Without shading, such glazings are a cause of strong heating in the home.

Structural or architectural shading emphasizes the design of a building. This is accomplished by means of aluminum slats. Because of the angle at which they are placed, they keep out sunlight in summer. In winter, the low-hanging sun just provides solar gains. Also, the view to the outside is preserved.
