TMC Cancela's TFR 225 forest flailer can handle all situations. This top model from the Spanish manufacturer is full of technological innovations. For example, the fixed hammers have a double cutting level, which simply doubles their efficiency. This saves as much as 40% in operating costs compared to competing machines. Also, over the entire working width of 225 cm, only 42 hammers are mounted.

The TFR 225 also features an elastic and wear-resistant frame in Strenx® and interchangeable setback rails in 25 cm sections. The machine stands on Easy Glide skids with hardox wear parts and can be equipped with narrow skids for deeper operation in the ground. For safety, a four-fold chain curtain with additional double chain curtain on the central section ensures safety. Furthermore, the TFR 225 is equipped with hydraulic belt tensioners with nitrogen accumulator and a side-extension system in oil bath. Finally, the patented parallelogram system takes care of propeller shaft alignment.

Convincing figures

The TFR 225 features a working width of 2,250 mm. The overall width of the machine is 2,880 mm. Required horsepower (maximum hp) from 300 to 400 hp, even up to 500 hp possible with weighted center distributor and intercooler. Rotor diameter, rotor thickness, rotor shaft diameter: 420 / 20 / 70 mm. With hammers included, rotor diameter is 697.5 mm. PTO input speed is 1,000 rpm and weight was limited to 4,450 kg.

Also available in lighter versions

The TMC Cancela range of forest/wood tillers also includes a number of lighter versions. These include the TFT 225-250 for stumps up to 600 mm and the tractor HP class of 200-360 hp. The range thus continues down to 100 hp and to the smaller hydraulic versions for excavators and skid steer loaders.

New: the MPK 225 combi cutter

TMC Cancela has expanded its range in 2019 with a genuine "combi" machine. This allows an operator to completely treat the yard with one move. First, the machine works on top: all top growth is crushed and finely ground. For the second phase, deep milling, the machine's middle distribution box is set to a smaller speed. This mixes the already pre-milled fibers into the soil up to 30 cm deep and creates a seed-ready area. The savings are in the travel cost on the one hand, but also in the speed and efficiency of the machine. The combi MPK 225 is good for tractors up to 300 hp, and has already seen many a trailer
in Belgium.
