Solidor from Wevelgem has been active in the rubber and plastic industry since 1978. The company is particularly renowned for the injection molding of high-quality terrace supports for wooden plank floors, concrete or ceramic tiles, metal grids and plastic boards. Its carriers greatly simplify the construction of a floating terrace and allow for faster, more stable, precise and quality work.
Solidor patio supports are used throughout Europe because of their versatility and flexibility. For example, they are height adjustable from 1 centimeter to 1 meter, making them suitable for almost any situation and any surface.
In CPV+ version, a recent innovation of the company, a single type of top plate allows the joists for a plank floor to be placed both straight and at an angle. Moreover, that version offers the possibility of also fixing the CPV+ along the bottom and along the side, a technique often used in France. As many as five mounting options are thus possible with one and the same top plate.
Furthermore, Solidor's popular Comfort series received an upgrade some time ago, giving rise to even more flexibility. For example, the support surface was made larger, making tiles less likely to lean over. The interchangeability of components was also greatly expanded. With a load capacity of 2,400 kilograms per square meter, infinitely variable height adjustment and a particularly short assembly time, the Comfort series provides an answer to the most common
needs and situations.
For a long time, a considerable height was required for the construction of a floating terrace. With new construction this could be taken into account in advance, but with renovations it often posed a problem. With the Premium series of ultra-thin terrace bearers, Solidor does away with this once and for all. With these supports a height of only 17 millimeters is required, which opens new and attractive perspectives for the renovation market.
In addition to the distinctively low terrace supports, Solidor has now developed a modular support system with an unprecedented ultra-thin aluminum profile (Structusol). Simply because every millimeter counts. This innovation has resulted in an extremely light and stable substructure, which is particularly suitable for larger tile sizes. Convenient connectors are used for smooth construction. Special joint pieces lead to better water drainage and optimal water management. Stability is ensured by blind rivets. Integrated thermoplastic rubbers reduce contact noise and provide additional grip.
With the revolutionary Sticksol, Solidor offers an answer to the phenomenon of clattering tiles. Sticksol is as simple as it is effective. It is a self-adhesive upper part in a rubber compound. Disturbing noises from rattling tiles are greatly reduced (up to 75 percent). After all, rubber is an ideal material for absorbing all kinds of contact sounds.
The self-adhesive layer prevents the tiles from moving, thus also preventing them from clicking. As an additional advantage, the manufacturer highlights the fact that this reduces the risk of the tiles blowing up by a third. Moreover, Sticksol is completely weatherproof, so the adhesive layer remains adherent in all conditions.
