Large diameter wood chipper and all-electric version

TP 280 Mobile T

"In general, wood chippers are no larger than 20-22 or even 23 centimeters in diameter," says Raphaël Nix. "The TP280 Mobile T from Danish manufacturer Linddana shreds branches up to 28 centimeters in diameter, which was previously reserved for models with a PTO." 

Among its strong points are the height-adjustable ejection pipe, the large folding hopper, the unique control box, the vertical feed rollers with "shark teeth" and miter knives in hardened steel, the TP Opticut system (4 miter knives), the 74 hp Hatz Phase V diesel engine with low fuel consumption and noise reduction mode, and the TP TWIN DISC system (rotor with double disc for efficient ejection). This heavy-duty wood chipper was recently delivered to Roeland Braem (Bomen Braem) in Stekene.

Scoop: TP 175 E-ZE

As the European market leader, Linddana has invested in the development of a prototype all-electric chopper. Now the Danish manufacturer is proud to present the all-electric chopper TP 175 E-ZE. 

The wood chipper is equipped with four 65 V, 288 Ah NMC LINIMN-COO2 lithium batteries with a 0-100% charging time of 7 hours and a guaranteed operating time of 4 hours. The operating time can be extended with two additional batteries in option. Since the charger is integrated, it is possible to work while charging. 

The advantages of an electric model are undeniable: low maintenance, urban use, environmentally friendly operation, low noise level. The icing on the cake is that the unit is mounted on a braked chassis of less than 750 kilograms, which does not require a BE permit and is exempt from technical inspection. In addition to the three-year (or 1,000-hour) warranty, the battery has a five-year warranty. Safety is guaranteed at all times by the TP E-Stop system and the additional safety kit with 2 or 4 emergency stop switches that stop the rotation of the feed rollers. The TP Opticut system - two miter blades on the rotor disc - reduces vibration, improves the stability of the machine's tension, and provides an even chip quality ideal for heating and mulching. Meanwhile, the TP Pilot automatically starts and stops the feed rollers based on the disc speed, protects the motor to ensure efficient operation and long life, has a timing function, and monitors battery control. Last but not least is the TP Vario Spout, the height-adjustable ejector pipe. 

"In addition to the indisputable ecological aspect, the economic aspect of such an electric model must also be pointed out, since the cost is becoming increasingly democratic compared to combustion engine models, which are always more expensive to purchase and maintain. This range of shredders clearly represents the future," concludes Raphaël Nix. 

Needless to say, the performance of this all-electric version rivals that of their combustion engine counterparts.
