Lightpro is a professional high end brand aimed at the landscaper. The complete Lightpro range of spotlights, wall lights, floor lamps, uplights and decklights works on 12V. That offers many advantages, says Lightpro marketing and communications manager Wendy Beukers.
"The 12V system is easy to install because it does not need to be buried. The cable system is waterproof and installation is quick and easy with a special connector. With the female connector you connect the lights to the cable. A branch can be made with the male connector. This allows Lightpro to be installed flexibly. Our female connector, with which we already won an innovation award, consists of one part, so you can't lose anything. For us, ease of use and safety have always been extremely important, which is reflected in our choice of low voltage. No specialist, electronic knowledge is needed during installation and the gardener can install the lighting himself. The low voltage is not only safe during installation, but also afterwards, if, for example, dogs or playing children are in the garden."
One of the trends they see in the market at Lightpro is that there is much more focus on professional garden lighting. Beukers: "With our dimmable collection, you can let the lighting grow with the tree. As the tree gets bigger, you can set the lighting brighter. In the summer you choose soft lighting and in the winter a little brighter light provides more safety."
The new Tiga downlighter is a very small fixture to light the path, and is dimmable. "Some people don't like it when a fixture is visible along the path. The Tiga DL is only nine inches high, so you can place it somewhere between the hedge so you only see its light."
The Juno series was recently expanded to include the Juno Tube and Tube. "That's a tube 1.20 meters high to which you can connect multiple spotlights. The cable is then hidden in the tube, which you simply insert into the ground. The Tube can also be attached to the wall. This immediately gives the garden an industrial look. We see this more and more: that people want to bring the atmosphere at home to the garden as well."
Lightpro is constantly innovating. For example, they are responding to the need to control garden lighting with a smartphone. "Our system will soon be combined with the smart lamps Oberon and Castor. The lamps can take on any color and are dimmable, so the right light for every garden. The system connects to the platform Zigbee, which in turn can be linked to your smart home. So then you can literally shout: hey Google, turn on the garden lights."
A camera with motion detector is also coming to the Lightpro lineup this year. That too can be set up via smartphone. "For example: that the camera starts recording when there is movement and then certain lights turn on," says Beukers. "That way it becomes an extension of the lighting and that increases safety."
The Lightpro lighting products are now also included in the TSD drawing program that many landscapers use. So they can now draw it directly into their garden or lighting plan.
