The company, founded in 1975 in Geraardsbergen by Emiel Van Israel and managed by son Peter since 1995, has strong growth ambitions. It plans to invest heavily in expanding its range of organic and mineral fertilizers.

Position strengthened

Van Israel nv is one of the most important players in the market. Even in these uncertain times, the company managed to strengthen its position and present growth figures. Underlying this are significant investments in land and equipment. The company's dynamism in recent years translated into a Unizo Business Award (2014). We highlight some of the key products below.

- Mineral fertilizers

In this range we distinguish both a universal fertilizer and fertilizers for lawns. The universal variant, in granular form, has a complete and balanced low chloride basic formula NPK 9-7-14S (+3MgO) and is therefore excellent for fruit trees, lawn, ornamental plants, vegetable garden...

The mineral lawn fertilizer comes in three different compositions: SPRINT for fast results and a beautiful green color thanks to its high nitrogen value, MARATHON for a long-lasting and economic effect thanks to the slow release of nitrogen, and TRIATLON which, thanks to calcium cyanamide, prevents moss formation.

- Lime fertilizers

Saniflor garden and lawn lime is rich in calcium and magnesium. When this lime is applied, the pH level of the soil will gradually rise and microbiological soil life will be stimulated. Nutrient elements are also better absorbed, resulting in better plant growth. This granular lime also reduces moss formation in the lawn. The high content of magnesium oxide (14%) ensures a beautiful green color.

Saniflor seaweed lime is rich in calcium and is a base soil conditioner that preserves microbiological soil life and improves soil structure. Seaweed lime can be used in both vegetable and ornamental gardens (except for acid-loving plants). Recommended use: in spring and autumn.

- Organo-mineral fertilizers

The Saniflor "All Seasons" lawn fertilizer is an organo-mineral fertilizer of excellent quality and specially developed for the maintenance of existing lawns. Its balanced base formula with lime and microorganisms nourishes the lawn and prevents moss formation. This fertilizer is recommended for mulching or for lawns mowed with a robotic mower. It is a compound fertilizer of NPK (+CaO+Mg+SO3) 7-3-6 (+5+3+10) mixed with iron (Fe) and bacteria.

A formulation is also available with additional bacteria for a beautiful and healthy lawn. This has a long-lasting effect and, thanks to the microorganisms present, transforms moss and debris into soil improvers, resulting in better root development and more resistance to drought.

Finally, the Saniflor fertilizer range includes classics such as granulated cow and chicken manure and liquid fertilizers for specific plant species.
