The right machine is worth its weight in gold. That's what Marc Pieters must have thought when he decided some 25 years ago to import his own machinery for garden, park and environment under the name Pivabo. Today, son Philippe is at the helm and the company is the exclusive Belgian importer of ten European brands.
Pivabo's range includes professional machines for many tasks in green and street management, from tillage over leaf and litter removal to mowing, pruning, weed control and so on. The machines come from the Netherlands (Votex, Hoaf, Nimos, Herder, Herder Fermex), Italy (Muratori, Marolin), Germany (Kersten), France (Ripagreen) and Denmark (Elkaer), and find their way to Belgian garden contractors and green services through a network of dealers. As an importer, however, Pivabo also keeps a close eye on the interests of the end customer.
in the eye.
"We want to build a long-term relationship both with our end customer and with our manufacturers," states managing director Philippe Pieters. "That means that we don't just go with the first best brand, or exchange it for another one a year later, but that from the very beginning we pay enormous attention to the durability and quality that the manufacturer can offer us - and by extension the user. Among our current brands, therefore, there are some that we have been distributing since day one. These long-term contacts ensure that we can always help or depanel the end customer quickly and correctly. Ultimately, not only the machine has to be professional; the service also has to meet that standard."
Votex is just one of ten professional European brands in the range.
From that same conviction, Pivabo also provides targeted training and advice. "In addition to our three representatives, we have two demo buses, for example, with which we can demonstrate a number of brands and techniques on location. Especially when it comes to weed control, we have already helped quite a few green services with this. After all, there are still some misunderstandings about the effectiveness of certain techniques."
Meanwhile, thanks to the extremely user-friendly search tool on Pivabo's new website, customers can find all suitable implements for their basic machine with just a few mouse clicks.
Pivabo has 100 to 150 standard machines in stock, which can be delivered within 24 to 48 hours. However, the bulk of the professional machines are custom-made, according to Philippe Pieters, based on, among other things, the anticipated assembly, the desired operation... They go directly from the factory to the dealer and, depending on the type, are available for delivery within two to eight weeks (after delivery of the tractor, if applicable).
