South Korean tractors come surprisingly out of the corner

After a diversification focused on the hobby and horticultural sectors, the brand portfolio now includes Deutz-Fahr tractors, Giant wheel loaders, Herculano and Pronar trailers, and a promising newcomer to the Belgian market: the South Korean TYM compact tractors. A pleasant introduction.

TYM has been manufacturing high performance and high quality tractors in the range from 19 to 150 hp for over sixty years. In 2004, it launched its compact range, which gained a strong reputation worldwide among green professionals looking for a light, maneuverable yet powerful tractor.

Unknown is unloved?

Why a South Korean brand, we hear you thinking? We don't always think about it, but South Korean technology is already having a big impact on our lives: we watch an LG flat screen, app with our Samsung smartphone and drive KIA or Hyundai... The same sense of technology and innovation as in their cars and consumer electronics the South Koreans have been applying to TYM tractors all these years. Many major global brands - such as New Holland, Zetor and Deutz-Fahr - purchase certain models of tractors and components in South Korea and sell them under their own brand names.

Direct imports

After seven years of familiarity with the TYM brand through Deutz-Fahr, the opportunity presented itself to import these tractors directly for Belgium. Garage Cnudde seized the opportunity with both hands. The big advantage for the customers is that no third parties as agent, importer, wholesaler or distributor are involved. Technology and innovation

In terms of technology, TYM's tractors also know how to hold their own, using world-renowned Yanmar engines and an automatic hydrostatic transmission that is very intuitive to operate with two travel pedals for direction of travel and a simple electric PTO control. This allows all the operator's attention to go to his work.

Proven improved performance

Thanks to the many advantages of the South Korean machines and the success of the sales, Cnudde bv counts the highest number of registrations in Belgium at the DIV for vehicles less than 50 hp with hydrostatic drive.

A number of independent tests were also conducted, comparing the performance of TYM tractors to other similar machines, more specifically in terms of lifting capacity. Because TYM's axles are stronger, larger lift cylinders can be fitted, resulting in an average of 40 % more net lift capacity than a competing brand of similar build size. This is a huge plus, as other brands sometimes run up against technical limits too quickly.
