Top quality green chippers and wood chippers

The Hilaire Van der Haeghe family group operates in three sectors: agriculture, parks and gardens, and material handling equipment. Within the HH Garden division, which specializes in the distribution of technical equipment for the green sector, we find the green chippers and wood chippers of the leading TS Industrie brand. David Van Roij, representative at HH Garden, guides us through the range of models from the manufacturer that is an expert in shredding and recovering plant waste.

TS Industrie is the result of the 2009 merger between two manufacturers specializing in professional mobile shredders: Tünnissen and Saelen. The TS Industrie brand expresses the group's European development ambitions, building on the history and experience of the two companies. A strategy of complete integration, from machine design to finishing, including mechanical welding, guarantees perfect control of the quality of TS Industrie shredders. 

Two series

HH Garden offers both TS Industrie green chippers and wood chippers. 

The Green Series (GS) range of green harvesters consists of thirteen models, gasoline or diesel, with or without PTO, ranging from the GS Cougar 18P (18 hp gasoline, up to 11 cm branch diameter and efficiency up to 10m3/h ) to the GS Cobra 90PGS (gasoline/LPG, up to 21 cm branch diameter and efficiency up to 45m3/h). 

HH Garden also offers 12 Wood Series wood chippers models, both gasoline and diesel, with or without PTO. Depending on the model, the allowable branch diameter ranges from 10 cm on the WS10PTO to 23 cm on the WS23 DT. 

Technological advantages

The revolutionary Mixed Rotor technology, developed and patented by TS Industrie for green chippers, combines hammers and blades. 

If the branch is too large in diameter, the hammers retract to make way for the blades, which first reduce the branch. The pieces of branch and plant material then go "through the hands" of the hammers to be reduced to a minimum and removed from the rotor. 

Because the hammers have a larger circumference than the blades, they are forced to work first, protecting the blades from wear and extending their life. The hammers are very easy to maintain, as their clappers can be replaced. 

WS Series shredders are equipped with Cutting Disc technology: adjustable blades, mounted on a heavy flywheel, pass in front of a counter blade, producing a clean cut. This can be combined with the operation of a planer for carpentry work.  

The Pilot system, on the other hand, is tasked with acting as a single on-board computer to monitor and manage the proper operation of the chipper. With its new Swing function, this system can adjust the machine to the user's actual needs at any time, leading to significant savings on fuel and oil. 

Another technical feat is the CO²-reduction system. Based on the observation that a shredder running at full speed for an average of eight hours a day only shreds for about three hours and runs more or less idle for the remaining five hours, depending on the configuration of the site, TS Industrie has developed the CO² Reduction system developed: a system that controls the shredding process by using the full engine power only when really needed.

Like a spider

"Our offering now includes a chipper equipped with tracks," says David Van Roij. "These tracks, with their variable track, make it possible to work on sloping terrain. In addition, the chipper is equipped with a 30° leveling device, which ensures that the tracks always run parallel to the ground, according to the 'Spider' principle." Thus, the machine can move "spider-like. 

Another advantage is radio control. 

Two models

The new chipper is available in two models. 

The Wood Series WS18- 35D RT-K wood chipper features the Cutting Disc system and the No Stress system (automatic regulation of the feed speed depending on the thickness and type of material to be shredded), shreds branches up to 18 cm in diameter, has a collapsible hopper and a 270-degree rotating ejector. 

The Green Series Puma D SR-TK multi-green waste model is equipped with the patented Power Mixed Rotor system. The collapsible hopper accommodates branches up to 16 cm in diameter. It is equipped with the on-board Pilot System and has a 180-degree rotating ejector.
