User-friendly formwork system for the green space professional

How often do you have to work with concrete? For functional retaining walls and foundation work, for example, or because your customer - quite in keeping with the trendy character of the material - has set his sights on a concrete staircase, garden table or bench. Thanks to a universal and lightweight formwork system with user-friendly planning app, you can perfectly plan and execute the formwork for this yourself.

Today, many garden contractors still completely outsource their concrete and formwork work. Not entirely illogical, since drawing up a formwork plan can be intimidating, and the formwork process itself requires special expertise in most cases. Unfortunately, that also drives up your costs, and working with outside parties can sometimes mess up the schedule quite a bit.

For this reason, PERI, specialist in scaffolding and formwork systems, developed the DUO formwork system, for those who are not concrete specialists but regularly have to perform small concrete jobs. The system therefore aims to create high-quality and reliable formwork with a minimum of materials, tools, manpower and labor. And that for walls at a maximum concrete pressure of 50 kN/m2, floors, beams and foundations up to 30 centimeters thick and columns with cross sections from 15 to 55 centimeters and maximum 80 kN/m2 concrete pressure. 

Modular system

The DUO formwork system is modular in design. This means that numerous different constructions can be created with a minimum number of system components. In other words, you do not have to invest in countless elements that are all used only sporadically, but can assemble the same components into new configurations each time. Click, turn, done

Assembling the formwork - a job for specialists in conventional methods - is very easy with DUO: using recognizable red DUO connectors, the panels are fully anchored in a simple click-and-twist movement. In other words, no additional or special tools are needed and considerable savings in labor time can be made.

Not more than 25 kilograms

You also don't have to worry about manpower with DUO. All panels are made of Polytech, a recyclable plastic that retains the lightweight properties of polymer. The largest DUO shuttering panel (135 x 90 centimeters) therefore weighs only 25 kilograms and can be easily lifted, moved and assembled by a single person. An advantage also for gardens that can only be accessed via the house or narrow paths, as no crane is required.

Strong in all conditions

In any case, don't let the light weight of the panels fool you. Polytech is above all a rock-solid material, which cares very little for the sometimes inclement conditions on site. After all, the panels do not absorb water, nor will they rust or deform under the influence of moisture. Moreover, a formwork panel with Polytech can be reused up to eighty times. A traditional shuttering panel, by comparison, typically only serves for thirty to fifty shutterings.

Because the concrete barely adheres to the formwork panel, the panels are easy to clean. Replacing the formwork panel is quick and easy, and minor damage can even be repaired on site.
