Gps-controlled weed remover

Arjen Spek: "An excellent example is our GPS-controlled weed remover, called Violette, from the company Natuition. That locates the weeds and removes them accurately in a mechanical way. Ideal, because the days of removing weeds with pesticides are slowly but surely behind us. Because the machine removes weeds completely from root to leaf, the weeds take longer to come back. Violette's software can identify weed leaves in dense grass. Thus, its extraction head has an accuracy of 1 cm2 and uproots the aforementioned weeds within a diameter of 40 cm. The removal rate is six weed plants per minute. On average, this means the machine can clear a soccer field or a rugby field, the size of 7,500 m2, of weeds in 10 hours. Completely autonomous."
