At ELIET, we are proud of our Belgian roots. The company was founded by Emiel Lietaer, who created ELIET by merging his name. With his extensive technical baggage and eye for opportunities in the gardening sector, Emiel Lietaer developed the first ELIET machines in the 1980s, and the foundations were laid for today's factory. What started with one man has since grown into a family business bursting at the seams with the characteristic orange ELIET machines all over the world.

All ELIET machines are manufactured in the heart of West Flanders, Belgium. Since ELIET, as a Belgian manufacturer, only has a small home market, it is mainly export-oriented. Ever since its foundation, ELIET has specialised in a number of niche markets:

• green waste treatment
• lawn care and maintenance
• littering
• snow removal

In addition, the flat company structure of this family-run business allows for great flexibility, capable of responding to ever-increasing customer demands. Proof of this is the freedom and dynamism of the research department, which regularly comes up with innovative machines and technologies.

ELIET is a fully integrated company that combines design & development as well as production, assembly and logistics under its own management. Such an organisation offers a number of significant advantages that mainly benefit the end user.
