Soil nutrition specialist continues to serve market

New, innovative products

At Fert in Time Europe, innovation and development is daily business. The soil nutrient specialist has quickly grown into an international player and recently launched several innovative products. “By listening to customers and investing heavily in development, we can serve the market in the best possible way,” says CEO and co-founder Philippe Debougnoux.

From golf courses and football pitches to agriculture, urban parks and gardens, ultimate soil quality is at the heart of Fert in Time Europe, with a unique and molecule-based product range at its core. Fert in Time's products aim at a higher segment. Debougnoux: “We deliberately aim at large public projects, golf courses and top division football clubs. That is a conscious niche we are looking for. To the unique and concise product range, we couple a very high-quality service, with short lines of communication and a personal approach.”

Clinoptilolite and Leonardite

Innovating is not a hollow concept at Fert in Time. The new products recently launched prove that. “For example, we recently launched In Time Clinoptilolite, a natural mineral from the family of tectosilicates, derived from volcanic rocks. This unique mineral is distinguished from lava by its porosity, with micropores and mesopores providing water retention and capillary action optimising soil moisture content. We also launched Leonardite, a soil conditioner based on very stable carbon molecules and containing 34 % humic acids and 4 to 5 % fulvic acids. The latter have a special effect because they already stimulate root growth from a soil temperature of 4 degrees Celsius. To be clear: these are soil improvers, not fertilisers.”

P2Liquid

A third product that Fert In Time Europe unleashed on the market this year is P2Liquid, or phosphor to liquid. Philippe Debougnoux: “P2L is an inorganic fertiliser, contains only orthophosphate molecules and is absorbed by the roots via soil moisture. It is a clear solution, without sediment and can be easily mixed with 99 % of available herbicides and fungicides. P2L can also be mixed with other liquid fertilisers such as UREAN/UAN, NTS and ATS. When applying P2L before or after planting, it is most effective to apply it at the first herbicide application. The highest effectiveness of P2L can be achieved when applied to plants with a growth cycle of at least five to six months.”

Intek Sapphire Green

Besides these products, there are two others that recently saw the light of day: Intek Sapphire Green and Intek Diamond Green, both of which, like P2L, can be catalogued under the namer liquid fertilisers. Intek Sapphire Green is a combination of harmless ingredients that significantly help prevent and reduce the formation of earthworm deposits by keeping them deeper in the soil. It contains nitrogen and sulphur and helps worms to migrate out of the treated area. It contains no active chemicals, so there are no harmful effects on worms. This is obviously a very interesting product for greenkeepers and groundsmen, who want to avoid brown spots caused by worms on the soil surface at all times.”

Intek Diamond Green

For its part, Intek Diamond Green is a liquid fertiliser based on potassium, calcium and magnesium that contains essential plant oils to improve plant health and increase disease resistance. Philippe Debougnoux: “This increased resistance to disease is achieved through a stronger cell wall and increased root mass. The combination of nutrients in Intek Diamond Green improves the plant's natural resistance to many known pathogens. Important: the product should be applied before expected disease pressure to achieve optimal results. This is in line with our philosophy of working preventatively rather than curatively as much as possible.”

Ready for the future

A challenging future calls for out-of-the-box solutions. And Fert in Time Europe has clearly understood that message. “We are highly committed to new and pioneering technology to be ready today for tomorrow's challenges as formulated in the European Green & Blue deals. Innovation allows us to fulfil our social responsibility. And by listening to customers and investing firmly in development, we can serve the market in the best possible way,” Philippe Debougnoux concludes.
