The Bednar FENIX FO works the soil in depth or at the surface. To work in all conditions to work faster, the new "PROFI" version not only gets a 4th row of teeth, but also a new Non-Stop variant and some original features.
Cultivators with tines are versatile. Some use these machines for a deep reworking of the soil to prepare a cultivable soil layer whose structure and water content promote the development of a vigorous root system that ensures the supply of water and nutrients. Others use them for a shallow stubble cultivation to stop weed growth, bury crop residues, reduce soil moisture evaporation and initiate plant growth. Bednar FENIX FO can do both!
Depending on the nature of the soil to be worked or the season, 4 types of tines 40, 60 or 80 mm wide are available, some of them in reinforced versions with carbide plates. The tines can be fitted with small wings.
On the FENIX FO cultivator, the V-shaped arrangement of the tine arms is an important factor: it significantly reduces pulling force. By dividing the arms into 4 rows instead of 3, the FENIX FO further improves its flexibility for a excellent result in high-speed soil conversion. The tines and roller bands keep moving along the same track: thus, the soil surface is compacted exactly on the line worked by the tines, which promotes faster plant emergence.
To maintain exemplary stability, the 4th row behind the famous geïntegrated transport axle installed, an original concept that BEDNAR has been developing for more than 10 years. By reducing the turning radius, this concept offers a distinct advantage in terms of maneuverability on the road and headlands. The intensity of the ridging at the rear can also be adjusted hydraulically, particularly to prevent soil recompaction in wet conditions. The working depth of the cultivator is controlled hydraulically as standard, and optionally electro-hydraulically from a terminal in the cab.
In addition to overload protection by means of a breaking screw, recommended for light soils, or a maintenance-free horizontal spring With a breaking force of 480 kg, which is ideal for stony soils, the FENIX FO PROFI cultivator can be equipped with the new hydraulic protection with a breaking force of 550 kg at the tip for medium to heavy soils.
The FENIX FO 6004 PROFI cultivator is equipped with a device for adapting to working conditions. It can be modulated by means of a set of collapsible side sections to go from 6.7 to 7.9 meters of working width. This allows the operator to easily handle the conditions of the day or local soil conditions in relation to the available towing capacity.
The new generation of BEDNAR FENIX FO PROFI universal cultivators consists of four models that work the soil to a depth of 35 cm over a working width of 4 to 7.9 m. The FENIX FO PROFI cultivator, as well as the entire BEDNAR range, will be distributed in Belgium by JOSKIN DistriTECH. From September 2023, public demonstrations of the BEDNAR range are planned in Wallonia and Flanders.
