Demo Green & Demo Clean
Keeping golf courses, soccer fields and parks in optimal condition all year round is no mean feat today. At trade show Demo Groen on Sept. 8, 9 and 10, greenkeepers, groundskeepers, groundsmen and aldermen of Sport will find solutions to their challenges.
Belgium's largest open-air demonstration of machinery and equipment for the green sector brings supply and demand together for the 16th time in Werchter's festival park. It is the meeting place for professionals active in green management, city cleaning and sports and recreational infrastructure. Constructors, importers and distributors of machines and tools for the management of green areas, golf courses, sports fields and recreational parks present and demonstrate the latest machines, products and services. Together with organizer Fedagrim, they will make it a great dynamic venue.
"The previous edition took place six years ago, so the interest in Demo Groen is greater now than ever," says fair coordinator Alain Vander Cruys. "Striking and (hopefully) an added value is the new location: festival park Werchter. Wide supply routes, over 10 hectares of open grassland for the green equipment, and almost 4,000 m² of hard surface for demos. This is precisely why Demo Groen is so popular with exhibitors and visitors from both Flanders and Wallonia: seeing everything live in action and trying it out."
As for those visitors, the figures from the previous edition are telling: nearly 4,700 attendees. Mainly garden contractors and landscapers, dealers and retailers, municipalities, other authorities, sports field managers and greenkeepers, schools and training institutions and others.
The needs are mostly within mechanization and services, and the exhibitors' offerings meet them. Demo Groen is a unique opportunity for exhibitors to reach a targeted audience in a limited time frame and for a limited budget.
For greenkeepers, groundskeepers and aldermen of Sport, suppliers of lawn maintenance machinery and equipment are an important source of knowledge. Their expertise helps select the most effective products. The contacts visitors can make at the fairs and the exchange of experience with other groundskeepers are also very valuable.
Vendors will show what is available on the market, focusing on sustainable grounds management. For natural grass, these include machines to aerate, seed, scarify, sand, mow and brush. For artificial turf, these are machines to decompact, clean, regenerate, and test equipment. Discover the very latest robotic technology, that too is possible at Demo Groen.
Running simultaneously at the same location is the Demo Clean event, the city cleaning department, because the link between green management and public cleanliness is an ongoing one, and public administrations can discover the latest techniques here. "In addition to live demos, we are also putting further effort into knowledge sharing through short study sessions in the field. Think about safety and legal issues when working with electrified machines for dealers or professionals who perform their own maintenance on their machines, among others. The program is in full development, more info will follow in the summer," said Alain Vander Cruys.
In short: no shortage of inspiration, innovation and networking. This meeting is the ideal opportunity for greenkeepers and aldermen of Sport to get first-hand knowledge of sector developments, attend demos and request quotes. Don't miss this highlight of the year. Attendance is free and will be available soon after registering on the site. www.demogroen.be/nl
