If it’s not in your calendar yet, consider this your nudge. On 27, 28 and 29 September, Flanders Expo Ghent will host the sixteenth edition of Green Expo, the green industry’s flagship biennial trade show. Landscapers, landscape architects, tree nursery growers, retailers and municipalities will once again converge for three days of insight, inspiration and live experience.
This edition picks up where Green Expo 2024 left off, with the same ambition: 10,000 visitors and an exhibitor community of over 200 suppliers covering plants and trees, fertilisers and soil conditioners, tools, vehicles and machinery as well as paving materials and decoration. Bianca Peeters of organiser Easyfairs has every confidence those targets will be met. “The green industry is thriving”, she says. “There’s extraordinary potential in this sector, but there are also real challenges to navigate, whether that’s water management, urban greening or biodiversity. Bringing this many professionals together in one place over three days creates exactly the right environment to tackle them. It does something no webinar or newsletter can: it accelerates knowledge-sharing and sparks new collaborations.”
Green Expo has always been more than an exhibition floor, and 2026 is no different. The Green Innovation Lane, the Green Night, presentations by Groen Groeien, Vlario, VVOG and Embuild, and the presentation of the 1.2.Tree, Vlaamse Tuinaannemer and Garden Center Awards are all back as firm fixtures. But this year, the organisers also have some fresh additions up their sleeve. “This is what sets us apart”, explains Peeters. “People come to a trade show to experience things directly. They want to get close to the products, the people and the ideas. Our job is to make that as rich and immersive as possible.”
The Tegelplein (Paving Square) offers a deep dive into the latest in tiles and terraces, while PCLT’s Green Electric Demo Zone lets visitors get up close and personal with a range of electric tools and machinery. As a way to bring attention to the design and management of public spaces, horticultural school Tectura will team up with several exhibitors to create the ‘village square of the future’. Peeters, for her part, is particularly looking forward to the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS®. “We have the privilege of hosting the Benelux Championship of this incredible discipline on Sunday. It promises to be quite a spectacle.”

Dedicated theme days keep the programme focused and relevant throughout. Sunday is family day, aimed primarily at landscapers and their families. A children’s trail and a meet and greet with Maya the Bee will ensure that even the youngest visitors feel at home. On Monday, extra attention will be directed at retailers, with BTV delivering a full, tailored programme. Tuesday focuses on while also giving the next generation a clearer view of future career opportunities in the sector. “This is a sector full of energy and opportunity,” concludes Peeters. “We want to make sure everyone feels part of it.”
