Machines for responsible water management

As of May 1, 2022, Pivabo is the official importer of the Dutch manufacturer Conver, which develops and produces high-quality machines for landscape management and waterway maintenance. Like the Herder and Votex brands, which Pivabo already distributes in close cooperation, Conver is also part of Alamo Group NL. Conver produces sailing, amphibious and driving machines. For sustainable water management, the manufacturer developed cutting, mowing and dredging boats.

The quality of water must be properly managed to ensure that it contains sufficient oxygen and organisms. By applying sustainable and responsible water management, the maintenance of water and banks creates more life and vegetation. Both in and around the water. 

To capture water in times of drought and drain it during heavy rainfall, proper water management is essential. Collecting water during heavy rainfall prevents flooding. Therefore, sufficient space is needed to collect and drain a lot of water in a short period of time. Rainwater is also stored to replenish groundwater during periods of drought. We do this to prevent dehydration and salinization of the soil. 

Through sustainable water management, we deal with too much or too little water as best we can. Proper flow of waterways is essential in this regard. Algae, too little oxygen, or invasive plant species (exotics) that proliferate cause damage and reduced water quality. 

Properly maintaining vegetation creates more diversity; this in turn creates more water life. Alternatives such as removing plants with roots or digging up plants lead to soil erosion.

Dredging increases oxygen in the water and flow of waterways. When a layer of organic material settles to the bottom, a waterway or ditch slowly silt up. With all its consequences.

Sailing machines

Conver produces boating machines to remove vegetation on embankments and stream profiles and remove aquatic plants and drift debris from lakes. 

The mowing boats can be easily placed and transported on boat trailers. Various implements can be mounted on each mowing boat, including a sweeper blade installation, embankment mowing installation, push-up frame, T-front mower... These machines are practical and widely applicable on the water. They come in different sizes and shapes according to the terrain and type of vegetation.

Among floating machines, special attention is currently being paid to the latest model, the C485-E. This all-electric mowing boat fully complies with the latest emission guidelines and is whisper quiet. The boat has a width of 1.85 m and is suitable for almost all Conver implements.

Furthermore, the C485-E has a fully enclosed deck and a tool carrier with quick-change system on the front of the boat, for attachment of various implements. The C485-E is environmentally friendly, safer to work with and more comfortable for the operator. It is a boat ahead of its time.

The C485-E comes with a rechargeable battery that lasts up to eight hours a day. All functions of the mowing boat are electrically proportional control and drive.

Mowing collection boats have the same operation for aquatic plants and floating debris, but remove and collect rooted plants in addition to floating plants. The cut vegetation is loaded onto the deck via high-capacity conveyors. All these machines have different working depths, cutting widths and storage capacities. 

On land and in water

In addition to the two types of sailing machines, Pivabo is also including the amphibious vehicle in its lineup. This type of machine performs both on land and in water. This powerful machine is designed to maintain ditches, canals and ponds, regardless of water depth. It can mow banks and waterways, cut bottom vegetation, clear plants, plant debris and floating debris... The possibilities are numerous.  

As for the other brands, Pivabo will handle Conver sales and service through a local dealer network. In this way, customers are assured of proper service anywhere in the country.
