Husqvarna launches cordless robotic mower for private gardens

Early next year, Husqvarna will launch the first Automower® robotic mower to support borderless mowing for private gardens. This new series, called NERA, supports the EPOS satellite navigation system, which allows the user to set up virtual mowing zones using a cell phone. This gives the user the flexibility to decide where, when and at what height to mow. The NERA series guarantees an even better Automower® experience. This is because the mower can handle more complex terrain and steep slopes, and stays away from unwanted objects on the lawn. Husqvarna Automower® NERA is available in three different models, for lawns from 2200 m² to 5000 m². 

More than 25 years ago, Husqvarna launched the world's first robotic mower. A groundbreaking innovation that would change lawn mowing forever. Husqvarna's latest Automower® starts a new chapter in lawn mowing for consumers, where physical boundary wires can be replaced by Husqvarna's satellite navigation system, which goes by the name EPOS. Husqvarna EPOS is a proven technology already launched two years ago for the professional segment. Husqvarna Automower® NERA operates with 2-3 cm precision and is suitable for rough terrain and slopes up to 50%. For the NERA series to operate without physical boundary cables, it must be supplemented with an EPOS plug-in kit, sold as a separate accessory.

NERA is available in three models, all of which support boundary-wireless technology. The Husqvarna Automower® 430X NERA and 450X NERA lawn mowers are suitable for areas up to 3200 sq. ft. and 5000 sq. ft. respectively, while the 320 NERA is ideal for lawns up to 2200 sq. ft. Both 400 series models are equipped with an object detection system based on radar technology, which allows the mower to detect and avoid objects such as children's toys and garden tools left behind. This takes the stress out of keeping the lawn neatly tidy at all times and reduces the number of unwanted stops. All models offer improved terrain handling, making the lawn less subject to wear, and can also be easily rinsed with the hose.
