This year STIHL presented a real world first! With the patented 3/8" Rapid Hexa saw system, STIHL set a new benchmark in terms of cutting performance, sharpening and service life.

This innovative system consists of a new saw chain and specially designed sharpening files. The hexagonal shape of the Hexa file is perfectly matched to the saw tooth of the 3/8" Rapid Hexa chain, so that this chain is sharpened even faster compared to a round file. By the way, an added bonus of this tool is that less practiced users can easily sharpen their material with the ideal sharpening angle.

The result of this first is nothing short of astonishing: discover a saw chain that has been honed to the highest quality, remains sharp for a long time and, compared to other saw chains such as the 3/8″ Rapid Super, can boast a longer life with the same excellent cutting results. This new Hexa saw chain is also available under the name 3/8″ Rapid Hexa 3 (RH3) as a low kickback version with knob drive links.

- Because the saw chain 3/8″ RH requires less frequent sharpening, it has a longer life.
