15th National Grass Day 'on tour' - Practical day for green professionals - 'Grass is a puzzle, every piece has to fit'

National Turf Day is on again! On Thursday, September 14, we once again invite hundreds of landscapers, green services, greenkeepers and garden professionals. This time the event will be hosted by turf grower Bart van Bael in Meerhout.

Theme this year is 'Grass is a puzzle. Every piece has to fit!' After all, landscapers face enormous challenges in the coming years. We have been experiencing climate extremes for a few years now, but there are also restrictions around the use of plant protection products, more expensive prices of materials and raw materials, higher labor costs ...

Green professionals have a lot of questions because of this. Should you work the soil differently? What about mowing? Construction and maintenance of a turf? Is it best to start with a soil analysis? What do you learn from this? How to deal with these climate extremes? How to apply crop protection in practice?

On Grass Day, we don't shy away from the answers. We put the puzzle back together and provide plenty of tips & tricks, directly applicable in practice!

Practice day with focus on experience!

Stop by and get to know a wide spectrum of turf equipment, advice and expertise in various fields. See with your own eyes how to perform all kinds of tillage operations quickly and easily with the latest machines. Come see the latest generation of lawn mowers, grass robots and battery-powered machines....

All the experts are on site: grass specialists, suppliers of plant protection products, fertilizers and soil improvers, machine manufacturers, professional associations ... With their help you can master all the facets surrounding the construction, renovation and maintenance of lawns, sports fields and public green spaces. This year, by the way, there are many new exhibitors with a wide range of innovative machines (firsts!). An extra reason to visit us.

As part of biodiversity and sustainable green policies, we are also fiercely committed to the use of field flowers. Thus, we sowed a number of annual and long-flowering field flower mixtures on site. There are also interesting field demos around this aspect.

Practical info

National Turf Day is an organization of five leading companies in the green industry: Advanta (Limagrain), Compo Expert, ENVU, ICL and TerraCottem. And is supported by the recognized professional associations.

The trial site at Voortbossen 86/1, 2450 Meerhout is open exclusively and free of charge for professionals and gardeners from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Here you will find everything about grass and so much more on one large demo site. This is also the place to be for an informal chat with colleagues and/or fellow professionals in the familiar friendly atmosphere.
