After the electric versions of various hand tools, mowers and even articulated loaders, the electric compact tractor is now making its appearance on the European market. In September, Herco Machinery delivered the first machines to its dealers.
The tractor in question is the Farmtrac 25G, an all-electric compact tractor from tractor manufacturer Escorts Group. The Indian brand has been in the portfolio of importer Herco Machinery for several years, and with good reason. "The company delivers quality machines, with components from Mitsubishi, Bosch or Mita, for example, but also does so at a favorable price," it sounds. "Moreover, we immediately saw the drive to innovate. It is no coincidence that precisely this manufacturer can take credit for the first for electric tractors."

The Farmtrac 25G offers the now well-known advantages of an electric drive: it operates completely emission-free and low-noise. In other words, in environments with specific standards or environmental risk - think nature reserves, hospitals, campsites or urban green spaces - it feels completely at home.
With a drive power of 15 kW or 25 HP, the electric tractor does not have to be inferior to the already known compact tractors. The hydraulic power of 3 kW and the lifting capacity of 500 kg also ensure that the FT 25G can be used for a wide range of applications, such as transporting, mowing, tilling, etc. Thanks to the short turning radius, limited weight - no more than its diesel-powered counterparts - and the choice of agricultural, industrial or turf tires, the tractor is also maneuverable on almost any terrain.
And the autonomy? Depending on the application, the lithium-ion battery is good for three to five hours of work. Charging can be done with the built-in charger and a normal power connection in about five hours, or with an optional fast charger.
