The new MSA 220 T from STIHL is the most powerful cordless chainsaw in the range, ideal for professional tree care. The innovative control cockpit ensures optimum and comfortable ease of use. Removing branches and dead wood, cutting logs, tending tree crowns, sawing wood ... This chainsaw effectively supports professionals in agriculture, gardening and forestry through endless possibilities.

Thanks to the electronic control cockpit with 180° LED indicator, not only can you easily control the machine in any position, but you always have all the important information in view, such as the operating state of the saw or the chain brake. The MSA 220 T comes standard with the 35 cm STIHL Light P04 guide bar and the STIHL 3/8″ Picco Super 3 (PS3) full chisel saw chain to quickly remove pieces of trunk and medium-diameter branches.

With its high cutting performance, the compact MSA 220 T is also the ideal tool for grooming crowns and removing dead wood. The compact cordless chainsaw gets all its energy from a 36 V lithium-ion battery from the STIHL AP system. This battery system is tailored to the needs of professionals and is also undeterred by rain and moisture. For the MSA 220 T, we recommend the STIHL AP 300 S battery.

The MSA 220 T is STIHL's most powerful top-handle cordless chainsaw. Its high cutting performance together with a chain speed of 23 m/s guarantees excellent cutting performance. The built-in cooling air filter protects the engine and electronics, thus increasing service life. In addition, this chainsaw stands out for its speed and compact dimensions. Thanks to the battery technology, you have no exhaust fumes.

• Without vibration and shock

The MSA 220 T comes standard with a saw chain with full chisels: the STIHL exclusive 3/8″ Picco Super 3 (PS3) which is at the same time powerful and low-vibration and low-rebound. Combined with the lightweight saw blade STIHL Light P04, it delivers excellent cutting quality with only a slight tendency to jerk. It is more pleasant to work with and saves your strength at the same time.

• More comfort and safety thanks to the innovative control cockpit

The MSA 220 T also scores high points in terms of working comfort. The new top-handle cordless chainsaw features an electronic control cockpit. This makes it easy to control the machine in any position. Thanks to the spacious 180° LED indicator field, you always have information about the status of the chainsaw and chain brake in view. The practical release button is always easily accessible and provides additional safety in any situation.

• Adjustable oil pump for customized chain lubrication

The MSA 220 T is always equipped with an adjustable oil pump. This is good for the environment, and also cost-saving. Thus, oil capacity can be kept to a minimum in simple tasks, such as care work, while in demanding jobs, optimum performance is guaranteed by maximum capacity. In the MSA 220 TC-O version, an additional active LED indicator alerts you when the oil level is too low.

The energy required for the MSA 220 T is provided by a 36 V lithium-ion battery from the STIHL AP battery system. Built by and for professionals, it can also be used in rain and moisture. In addition to the new cordless chainsaw, this series consists of 30 more machines among other battery packs and backpack-mounted batteries with a diverse range of power and various chargers. For full power, the battery AP 300 S is the sparring partner of the MSA 220 T. With a running time of 29 minutes and makes it possible to make, for example, 260 incisions in 10 x 10 cm struts in pine wood.
