Wild morning mist thanks to Belgian nanotechnology

Beneficial morning mist thanks to Belgian nanotechnology

Climate change is causing longer periods of drought and water scarcity. We long for more greenery, but how do plants survive in these conditions? Oenosan® offers an innovative natural solution for landscapers, garden contractors, growers and gardeners.

The June 6 analysis report from the Flemish Environmental Society showed that the groundwater level at 85% of the monitoring points was  (very) low for the time of year. Groundwater levels are also considerably lower than last June. 2020 is also the fourth dry year in a row.

Oenosan is dissolved in water and sprayed on the leaves in the morning, when the stomata are open.

Water volume drops to 70%

The idea behind Oenosan, an organic certified lime fertilizer, is simple: make the plant stronger. Regardless of whether that's a ground cover, a shrub or a hundred-year-old tree. "The product does not attack one attacker," says Katia Welvaert of Agraphyt, "but increases the immunity of the plant. More than 80 Flemish cities and towns use Oenosan to protect their plants from drought and support their green projects. Water is a hot topic here. By spraying the plant with Oenosan, the water retention of the plant is noticeably increased and the water requirement can be reduced by up to 70%. Specifically, this means saving thousands of gallons of water and preserving precious trees and plants."

For plantings or replantings, Oenosan can also be sprinkled directly on the root structure.

Immunity

Thicker leaves contain higher concentrations of chlorophyll and are less subject to evaporation. Stronger plants possess greater immunity making them better able to overcome diseases and pests and resist extreme conditions. Due to the significant increase in sap flow (increase EC values up to 25%), substances are easily transported into the upper canopy and to the root system.

Sturdy green foliage

Oenosan is easily applied by nebulization on the leaves. The powder is dissolved in water (only 1.5 grams per liter) and nebulized on the leaves of plants and trees in the morning, when the stomata are open. The water molecules with dissolved minerals penetrate the leaf, are partly used as nutrients and partly stored in the cell membranes of the leaf. The result is a sturdy green foliage that is extremely resistant in times of prolonged drought. By bypassing the root system, results are achieved in a very short time that would normally require a full vegetative season.

High efficiency

Oenosan is a Belgian innovation based on nanotechnology. A five-kilogram package can make as much as 3,333 liters of mixture. The plant does need to be sprayed about five times a year. However, this effort is quickly recouped, due to less investment in water, labor and new plantings. The applications with Oenosan are unlimited: green management, landscaping, nurseries, green roofs, viticulture, agriculture and horticulture. One solution for all your greenery!

Biocertificate

"With our biologically certified lime fertilizer, we would like to make a contribution to the planet," Welvaert said. "We apply the natural principle: strengthen nature with elements from nature. More chlorophyll results in optimal binding of CO2 and production of oxygen, contributing to a healthier and more pleasant living environment. On top of that, we are proud of our organic certificate and our product is harmless to humans, animals and especially our bees."

Total concept

Oenosan is part of an overall concept. "We want to build a network with our customers that is committed to healthy and high-quality greenery. This is why we offer our professional buyers free route guidance and support. After all, we are only satisfied when our customer is happy and the plant is effectively doing well."
