Slurry is a natural resource rich in nutrients for grasslands and crops. To ensure that crops receive the maximum benefit from slurry, it is important to apply it correctly. As a specialized manufacturer, JOSKIN has several implements designed for this purpose. One of them is the Pendislide Pro, a drag hose boom with slotted coulters that can be used both on grassland and on young (grain) crops.
Slurry is a rich and abundant source of nutrients. To make the best use of these nutrients, it is crucial to spread slurry with the right implement. With years of experience, JOSKIN offers no less than 15 different series of machines. One of these spreading tools is the JOSKIN Pendislide Pro. It was presented to the press and the general public in 2017 and has since become a popular spreading boom in many countries.
The JOSKIN Pendislide Pro is available in four versions, with working widths from 12 to 18 m and a travel distance of 25 cm. Each element consists of a 70 mm wide spring blade on which an Ertalon slotted coulter is mounted. The latter creates a small trench in the ground, has a limited flattening effect in the grass and ensures correct application of slurry on the ground and between plants. This minimizes any contamination of the crop. In areas with rocky terrain, the Ertalon slotted coulters can optionally be replaced with cast steel models. The elements are at a 45° angle to the ground. This allows the spreading boom to reach a working speed of 8 to 10 km/h, depending on the terrain. The bending of the curved blades compensates for small unevenness in meadows or fields, ensuring even spreading. The left and right sides of the JOSKIN Pendislide Pro boom can move independently for even better soil adaptation.
To correctly accommodate differences in relief, the sections of the frame are supported on the left and right by a depth wheel. Thanks to a pendulum system integrated into the frame, the implement follows the ground perfectly, even longitudinally. Moreover, the slotted coulters can be lowered up to 250 mm below the ground, while the upward movement is unlimited. All this makes the JOSKIN Pendislide Pro ideal for flat terrain, but also extremely useful on hilly terrain. The pressure of the blades is set by default between 7 and 9 kg. It can be increased or decreased if necessary via the depth wheels.
The components of the Pendislide Pro are mounted on a sturdy and lightweight galvanized steel frame of profiled tubing. The use of industrial balls on the frame ensures very high wear resistance of the boom and even when subjected to high stresses, they have a long service life and minimal maintenance time. A traditional hydraulic "4-point linkage" is not required on most tanks if the wheels have a diameter below or equal to 1 675 mm (e.g.: 750/60R30.5). With the four cylinders on the implement, the 2 sections of the frame (and thus the spreading elements) can be raised or lowered during work, the Twist anti-drop system can be activated, and the boom can be raised above the fenders for transport or lowered again for spreading. Each half section of the frame is equipped with an eccentric Scalper© cutting divider. These vertical cut dividers ensure that the slurry is distributed evenly across the slotted coulters. They also limit the distance to the outlet at the slotted coulters. In this way, the difference in the amount of slurry between the outlets at the beginning of the distribution is minimized. This compact Scalper© cutting manifolds are equipped with quick-opening side covers for quick and easy maintenance. They are also equipped with a stone catcher to remove stones and other hard objects and prevent damage to pipes. For safe storage of the Pendislide Pro, it features support legs integrated into the frame.
The simple yet durable design of the JOSKIN Pendislide Pro, its versatility in both grassland and (young) crops, and its ability to be used on both flat and uneven ground, make it ideal for intensive use in farms or large dairy farms. Its precise slurry distribution and large working widths ensure optimal and efficient distribution of minerals and nutrients to benefit crops.
