Trends in colors and materials for patio, driveway or garden path. Set the tone with tiles

As innovators in tiles in natural stone and composite materials such as ceramics, they know better than anyone else which colors and materials will help set the tone this year. Both indoors and outdoors. Especially the range of outdoor tiles and finishes is expanding significantly.

After a year full of uncertainties, we all yearn for peace and harmony. Even in the garden. Beltrami has understood this very well. With several new materials and corresponding finishes, the company is responding to the trends that will give our gardens the extra zen factor in 2021. David Verheye, sales manager at Beltrami, guides us through the most important evolutions.

The warm tones of this Muschel lime in Arenado finish are perfectly in line with current trends.

"We notice that limestone and travertine in particular are doing well. That was true last year and that trend is continuing now. The warm beige and brown hues and the open structure give these natural stones a soft look. It perfectly translates that search for tranquility," David says. "Limestones and travertines are also two materials that are excellent for placement in outdoor environments. As patio tile, cladding or garden path. With the right finish, they also have good non-slip properties, so they can also serve as pool surrounds."

And just that range of pool edging Beltrami is now significantly expanding. They guarantee a perfect fit of your pool in the design of the garden. On the one hand, the range of exterior finishes has been greatly expanded in popular materials such as Pietra Bicci, Kandla Grey, Pepperino Dark, and the new Ming Black. On the other hand, Beltrami also developed a new type of pool surround with a 180-degree rounded, overhanging surround. "The finish is always matched to the surface treatment," says David. "At customer request, we also develop the matching pool edging ourselves, as well as other matching exterior finishes, such as steps, coping stones, and so on."

With OCS, Beltrami offers some 20 high-quality designs in ceramic, including matching finishes and pool edging.

Soft gray colors

David Verheye also notes the high demand for shades of gray. Beltrami is responding to this with Kilkenny Limestone, Irish Blue Stone from its own quarries with exceptional possibilities in terms of formats and finishes. Think custom tiles, specifically tailored to a particular project in terms of size and finish. "Granite is also making a substantial comeback," he says. "It is a particularly strong material, resistant to the most inclement weather conditions. In the gray tones, we then talk about Pepperino Dark or Diorite Dark. Dark
granites are also still doing well, especially in
modern garden designs."

This year Beltrami is also reintroducing the Waaljes. They are long, narrow tiles in natural stone, based on the great success of the clinkers. They are available in sandstone, limestone or Kilkenny Limestone. Perfect for a patio, garden path or driveway. Want to completely finish off your outdoor environment? Then Stoneskin stone strips, Stonepanels, B-Rocks and Minipanels provide a unique touch as a facade or wall covering. "Minipanels are finer and you mainly use them in the interior. Stoneskin, B-Rocks and Stonepanels can be perfectly placed outside as a fun accent," says
David still.

Not only natural stone

Beltrami is a Brachot Family Member. Brachot is a global manufacturer and total provider of landscape and cladding materials. With twenty of its own quarries, eight production sites and sixteen distribution centers across three continents, it creates endless possibilities. Both in natural stone and in composite materials such as outdoor ceramic tiles.

Kilkenny Limestone is quarried in its own quarries, offering a range of options in terms of size and finish.

"And in that we have two collections: OCS and Manifattura Italiana. OCS consists of about 20 designs divided into four collections, with a very favorable price-quality ratio and with matching finishes and pool borders. Manifattura Italiana, in turn, offers high-quality ceramic outdoor tiles made in Italy," says marketing manager Laurence Roelens. "Anyone who wants to discover our materials is always welcome to visit our showroom with landscaped outdoor park in Harelbeke. There you will experience the many possibilities and be personally guided by our experts. Through our website you can easily and quickly
an appointment."
