Robotic mowing helps sports clubs make better use of staff and resources

Robotic mowing is becoming an increasingly attractive solution for sports clubs and local authorities looking to maintain large playing surfaces more efficiently. In this video, Domien Lobeau of LOVANHOP explains how Belrobotics’ MyRobot enables grounds teams to reduce mowing time, lower labour costs and free up staff for other maintenance tasks. The benefits are particularly evident on large areas such as rugby pitches, where consistent mowing can otherwise be highly time-consuming.

We are LOVANHOP, based in Poperinge. We construct and maintain football pitches, and we sell and hire out Belrobotics’ MyRobot systems. We’ve been doing so for more than ten years. As an official Belrobotics A-dealer, we currently have more than 80 robotic mowers operating across West Flanders.

For sports clubs and local authorities, investing in a robotic mower makes a great deal of sense. It reduces labour costs and helps address staff shortages. On a rugby pitch, the benefits are even greater, as the playing area is larger than a standard football pitch.

While the robotic mower is taking care of the grass, the grounds staff who would previously have spent their time mowing can focus on other essential maintenance tasks.
