[00:03] I’m Bart Colpaert and I work for the Leisure Department of the City of Izegem. Part of my role involves managing and maintaining the municipality’s outdoor sports facilities.
[00:17] We are here on the main pitch of the Izegem Tribes, the local American football club, where both training sessions and competitive matches take place.
[00:31] Several years ago, in collaboration with Domien from LOVANHOP, we decided to introduce a Belrobotics robotic mower.
[00:43] We’ve been extremely satisfied with the results. It allows our maintenance teams to spend more time looking after the rest of the sports infrastructure, which, as you can see, covers a large area and requires a great deal of attention.
[00:59] Previously, mowing the pitch was carried out by the municipal maintenance team. Today, thanks to the Belrobotics robotic mower, the club itself manages the system through the mobile app, switching it on and off whenever they choose, outside training sessions.
[01:19] We’ve also seen a very positive improvement in the playing surface. American football places heavy demands on the turf, but because the robotic mower cuts the grass frequently and consistently, the turf has become denser, healthier and more resilient.
[01:34] This has had a very positive impact on the overall quality and lifespan of the pitch.
