Jacobs Maurits, the Moorsel-based distributor of garden and park machinery for private and professional use, was founded as a family business in 1958. Meanwhile, the third generation has arrived and the team has five employees, but the company still distributes the same brands as in the early days. This loyalty testifies to the belief in the quality of the brands and offers the customer security, as he can still find spare parts for machines that are roughly thirty years old.

Varied offerings

Jacobs Maurits distributes machines for a variety of applications. There are the common machines for traditional lawn care, such as lawn mowers and ride-on mowers. When it comes to pruning and sawing, we talk about chainsaws and hedge trimmers, as well as brush cutters, trimmers and shredders. A third product category includes tillage machines, including garden tillers.

Jacobs Maurits has a highly valued after-sales service and its own repair service. Recently, the company also started a rental service. This is ideal for the professional who wants an adapted machine for a short time, affordably and quickly.

Not off the cuff

Jacobs Maurits is exceptionally loyal to its brands and suppliers. Guido Jacobs: "By not jumping from heel to heel in terms of brands ourselves, we have managed to build a strong relationship of trust with our suppliers. And ultimately our customers enjoy this the most. More specifically in the form of service, security, reliability and long-term availability of parts and spare parts. In this way, we know what we have with our suppliers and our customers know what they have with us."

The list of quality brands has also thickened over the years and today includes such familiar names as STIHL, Goldoni, Lazer, Toro, Eliet, Irus, Castelgarden, Tielbürger, Gianni Ferrari, TS Industrie...

Goldoni, since 1964

PJacobs Maurits has been a regional dealer since 1964 and an importer of the machines of the Italian brand Goldoni since 2019. That gained world fame with its two-wheel tractors and tractors in articulated or fixed design. Founded in 1927, Goldoni originally made pumps used in vineyards. In the early 1950s, the company began a cautious international expansion.

In 2015, Goldoni was incorporated into the Arbos group, which also includes Matermacc, another renowned Italian manufacturer of agricultural vehicles. Further growth and internationalization will be made possible through the recent acquisition of the Arbos Group by China's Tianjin Lovol Heavy Industries.

Bean for Timberteam

Jacob Maurits also strengthens ties with its suppliers in areas other than purely commercial areas. For example, the company sponsors the Belgian Timber Team which competes in the STIHL Timbersports Series. This is a lesser-known sporting discipline which, however, fits in perfectly with Jacobs Maurits' offer and clientele, and with STIHL's objectives. Traditionally the Belgians score very well in this sporting discipline both individually and as a team.
